Prayers for David and his proud parents. :-)

Kewl pics, Star! You're really a biker family, aren't you! I wish we had another one. We enjoyed taking trips together when we could go on the bike. I could get hubby to take me anywhere on it, whereas he just gripes to have to go anywhere in the car. *sigh* I need a travelling partner!

Hey ya'll -- Sarge is having trouble getting this to post and he sent it to me via FReepmail...WOOHOO!!! It worked Sarge!!
The day dawned clear as the jousting drew near
In the tournaments merry events,
A busy bright day, so light and so gay,
With gladness wherever one went,
Soon the jousting began, with fighting élan
And displays of prowess and might
Riders with skill, from those with the will
To face up to an armored knight.
Soon it came the time, that a gong did chime
To announce that, taking the fields,
Was the Prince of the land, that jealous young man,
And the Knight, and they both came to kneel
As who could it be, but the restored Queen Fairie!
Who was weak, and so deathly pale,
But acknowledged the cheers of her royal peers
And said to both men in armor and mail,
This day, Sir Knight, for this particular fight,
His Highness has asked simple rules:
That your weapons and armor come from the royal larder
And not fight with your usual tools,
So that, for this passage, neither has an advantage,
So your skills can shine to the fore,
You each take your chances, with these simple lances,
And these swords and shields, and no more.
The Knight turned and bowed to His Highness so proud,
I agree by these rules, said he,
Said the Prince, Fine, Sir Knight, now let us get to the fight
And our prowess with these warriors tools!
The Knight chose his sword, and his shield quite broad
And a lance made of oak tipped with steel,
And the Prince, lance and shield, but instead chose to wield
A great sword that reached to his heel.
The Prince replied loud to the cheers of the crowd,
But the cheers for the Knight were as great,
And his eyes searched the throng for the eyes that belonged
To the Archer and Wrenn but wait
There in the shade of a bowery glade
Stood the lovely Sorceress Wrenn,
But try as he might, the valiant Knight
Could not find the Archer, his friend.
But the trumpet blared, and the Knight turned to stare
Down the field at the mounted Prince
And they both set their charge, and the crash loud and large
Of the two made the crowd to wince!
For both were unseated, but neither defeated,
And the contest on foot carried on,
And there came the ringing of two swords stinging
As the blades sang their warriors song!
And as Wrenn beheld the contest unfold,
Her sorcery warned her of danger,
And her sight quickly found, not making a sound
The eyes of a perfect stranger,
For as silent as breeze, almost hidden by trees,
The Archer was drawing her bow, but why?
But the elfs eyes were dead, and Wrenn saw with dread
She was aiming at the Knight and let fly!
Miss B? Your Turn!
