I find it comforting that he doesn't always do what's popular, but what he thinks is right.
I haven't read a lot about the port thing, but I think Rush was pretty reasonable about it today, just heard snatches, and I trust the president.
He hasn't been wrong about much.

Yeah - I'm confident Bush is doing the right thing.
That 'Rat talking points on this one dug a little deeper than usual - that hurt.
I hope Bush has a counter move to deal with the political costs of this one.

In my experience and I have been in shipping for 25 years America has the strictest rules in the world about importation of goods.
I have many times had to go into great details about what I am shipping including material, usage etc etc before the goods are even cleared to be shipped from the UK. The Port security issue is really silly it is too late if the goods are already there, you have to stop them leaving the country of exportation.
