Today President Bush traveled to Golden, Colorado to participate in the Energy Conservation & Efficiency Panel at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and discuss his national energy strategy, as well as tour the lab with Dan Arvizu, the director of the laboratory. Before leaving Colorado, the President visited the troops and their families at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora.
When he arrived home at the White House, he made a statement to the press regarding the controversial port buyout by the United Arab Emirates from Great Britain.
Enjoy your much needed trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!!
Right, look at all the people they're in (bad) company with, that should tell them something.
But, as the saying goes, you can tell a freeper, but you can't tell him much.
They'll all calm down in a few days and lie dormant until the next thing they can shriek about.
HI....I was predicting I would be the only one on the Dose thread today...
I was lurking on the PORT Threads today....sheesh..I think a lot of freepers were ready to string Dubya up!
THANKS for the DOSE!!
Mike had me in stitches the whole thread....and you are right, he's the poster boy for all the freaking out freepers today..
Whooops! I meant # 204 on that link! Llllong day:)
I just got home, but this is the post that my computer received it. Now I have to go peruse the day's photographic bounty.
I sent my package to little Davey today.
Nice to have a place like this to count on, especially days like this. I've stayed away from the "port" threads, I think I've finally learned my lesson after the "Terri" and "Miers" debacles!
Regardless of how this port issue shakes out, I never have the stomach for Bush-bashing. And there's no way I will stop praying for him.
Thanks, oWf....I've had the feeling from the beginning that a few conservatives have jumped on this port company deal before all the facts were available simply because they don't like it that Bush doesn't consult them hourly. It's really beginning to piss me off -- they are worse than liberals for trying to impose their views through propaganda.
That 'Rat talking points on this one dug a little deeper than usual - that hurt.
I hope Bush has a counter move to deal with the political costs of this one.
Amen to that prayers for your brother patriciaruth
They use any old excuse to bash the President.
That's because he's 100 times the man that any of them is....
Hi Ohio, The ones who are labeled true conservatives
are not. Are either Third Party types or DU trolls.
Have done a lot of ripping with these folks over the yrs.
I was on a thread with probably 99% Bush bots including
myself. Many did not have good feelings about the port deal but are still supportive of Bush. There is a seperation between this group who have a honest concern
but do not bash Bush v the third party malcontents.
"Some things just don't work for you, no matter how good you look............. :)"
Judging by his expression, he was well aware it wasn't working!
"Do not MESS with this man......."
But I am pretty sure he knows this expressions works wonders.
Glad you could come take a look!
I will definitely pray for your brother pat, and for you, as you wait for him to be through...
God Bless you all...and bring healing, and comfort..
Sleuth
Oh, the one with the little child in the red suit is precious.....have to run off now...thanks, OWF
The more I find out about this, the more at ease with it that I am.
I hope he gets them at the same time.
