SACRAMENTO - Typically in California, candidates for governor and lieutenant governor don't campaign as running mates -- but you'd never guess it by watching Republicans Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom McClintock lately.

I'm afraid that McClintock may be coming onto the scene after the damage has been done. Maybe he'd do better challenging Feinstein or Boxer next time.
I had thought that might be a good slot for Tom to go after as well... but he doesn't want to go to DC. It's not all its cracked up to be, life in a swamp, I'll take the delta anyday. ;-)

If the Dynamic Duo win, Tom will be well situated for a 2010 run, when Ahnold will be term limited.
