The would-be textbook editors insist the deity of Islam not be identified as Allah, but rather God. One proposed CIE edit reads:
In describing the beliefs, the authors insistence on leaving the word Allah un-translated in some instances creates the impression that Allah is the distinct god of the Arabs, rather than the One God worshipped by Jews, Christians, Muslims and others. [CIEAP 3; ML 80-138, 350-354, 498-499]
In effect, this would have the State of California certify that the Muslim deity is the true God. At the same time, if this proposed edit is accepted, not only Peoples of the Book, but even idolaters can take comfort in the fact that Allah is their God. Since textbooks portray Islam

Islam is not a religion it is a CULT whose leader is Satan.
No one who knows the Bible and studies the Koran, Mohammad and Allah would ever confuse the god of Islam with the God of the Bible. Why should someone either blatantly ignorant on the subject or with a political ax to grind have decision making power in such a matter?
It's about like expecting an auto mechanic to edit a medical book.
Of course.
And, I must admit, I have little if any interest at all in what avowed non-Christians claim to believe about their "deities." I've not enough time to learn about the one, true God, let alone the false ones. :-)
They may be making a big mistake as "God" is not allowed in classromms anymore.
I've concluded that Allah, as used by Islam, is nothing more than a convenient ploy to give the stamp of ethereal authority--and threat of unlimited power to punish--to whatever Mo wanted.
Pretty clever trick, actually, which is part of the reason I believe Mo did have a supernatural accomplice in his deceit--but that force has nothing to do with God.
He is called in the Bible the "Father of Lies".
#1: "I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me." Not much wiggle room there.
I know. But it seems after a certain size is reached in terms of followers there's pressure to show respect by terming cults "religions".
I use the term "liberally" is accordance with custom, but I have no delusions that it is anything other than a cult of death and destruction, or that the one who misled Mo and they worship is, as you say, Satan.
President Bush said the exact same thing.
<< How much do the FReemasons have to do with this?
Don't they worship allah.
Nothing and no.
I'm sorry, but I think this is a somewhat more complicated semantic tangle. The term "Allah" is commonly used by Arabic and Aramaic-speaking people to refer to the God of Abraham, the Creator and Judge of the world. Maronite, Nestorian and (I believe) Coptic Christians have been using the term "Allah" for probably over 1000 years.
Only when it involves separating your church from their state.
That's the same serpent guy Amerinds call "Coyote", and Vikings named "Loki".
Their interpretation of Allah is not our interpretation of God. Therefore their Allah is not our God.
>Well then who is the Son of God, according to the Jews? It's certainly bot J.C.<
On the Cross, Jesus said, "Forgive them, Father, they know not what they do", and, sadly, they still don't know.
Lunatic Fringe said, "God is mythical"
God said, "Lunatic Fringe is mythical"
So the Council on Islamic Education -CIE- not only is trying to change the name Allah for God, but it also wants to bring back the following:
The ridiculous charge that the Jews were guilty of Christ-killing has no historical basis, but it resulted in their persecution for 2, 000 years, culminating in the horror of the Holocaust. Many distinguished and responsible Christian theologians such as the former Catholic clergyman Rev. James Carroll [Constantines Sword: the Church and the Jews, a History] and the Lutheran theologian Professor Norman Beck [Removing Anti-Jewish Polemic from Our Christian Lectionaries - a Proposal] have confronted this tenacious anti-Semitism, and have strived to eliminate it.
These people are working hard at it, thus, success is possible considering they are in California.
This part is very interesting:
Muslim organizations have not only used California schools and textbooks to proselytize for Allah, but they now seek to portray other religions through an Islamic prism, claim the modern Jews do not have an historical connection to the nation of Israel, and reintroduce the charge of decide to American textbooks. At least three major publishers whose textbooks are under consideration for adoption by the State of California Ballard & Tighe, Houghton-Mifflin, and McDougal Littell have enlisted Shabbir Mansuri, Founding Director of Council on Islamic Education (CIE), as content consultant. Publishers shared their pre-print edition of textbooks with CIE, thereby facilitating the sanitizing of Islam before the textbooks made it to the public domain. But that was apparently not enough for CIE; they have submitted an additional set of edits that would help seventh grade Californians understand their respective religions from an Islamic perspective.
If they can put in something about Islam then why not something about Judaism and Christianity too?
That's my point. The description of Allah is more representative of Satan than God. The qualities of Allah are not the qualities of our Saviour. They are not the same God.
What's astonishing about it .. they've been doing this since before 1993 .. the "religion of peace" garbage.
