It's not like we don't have our own folks in similar need along our Gulf Coast - or in need of FORCE along our borders.....
As an American and a former Marine - I deeply resent our forces being used in this manner at this time in that place.
Charity BEGINS at home. Security of the HOME must take precedence over all others.... Since NONE of these bastards can or will do anything to protect or defend us from our declared enemies...

Provide helicopters for a few days? Yes. Provide Marines to do the digging? Why? Is there a shortage of strong men to do labor in the PI? Or will they only do it if they are well paid?
Didn't do us much good when we rushed to help after the sunami. Those "feel good" sentiments might be better suited if we didn't have our OWN PEOPLE living in tents down on the Gulf Coast.
