The fact of the matter is: I don't trust muslims. If that makes me a racist, oh well. If that means I make decisions based on emotion and not based on rational thought, again, oh well.
As I see it, we are currently at war with Islam. Would it make sense to lease a port terminal or two to a German or Japanese outfit during WW2? Likewise it doesn't make to cut with deal with a muslim nation.
And if that's hysteria and ignorance, then so be it.

Some people come to FR to learn and discuss. Some people already know everything and it is a total waste of time to engage them.

I don't trust Muslims either, but what's really sad....I sure as heck don't trust our own gov. It seems to me they've gotten really good at secret deals being made, then dump them on the public after it's a "done deal". Worse, it doesn't seem to matter if it's the Dems or Repubs in office. Let's not forget the wonderful NAFTA deal that was sprung on us the day before it was voted in.....too late for us to give them any flack.
When I was young, a lot of stuff being done would have been considered treasonous to the welfare of our country. But of course, that was before all the politically correct nonsense and the mind set that America should be no better off than any other country in the world.
I think it's way past time that our schools begin teaching Patriotism, History(not the revised) and Social Studies
