I think we should cut this 'guy' some slack. We simply have no concept of how difficult it must be to skate the long program while not "feeling pretty".
He even dissed skating in this local interview

He has no quads and he knows he isn't competitive as a result.
He has dissed other skaters, the judges, the new judging system repeatedly over the last year. A number of people in US Figure Skating dispair of ever getting him to tone it down.
IMHO, the judges were harsh IOT send him a message.
However, I don't think he gets it.

Yes..I read that too..I think in the NY Post.
He was not "white" that day. His aura was black, and his biorythms were off.
Ever try a quad with a black aura? Well apparantly it's darn near impossible!!

He's vindicating Bryant Gumbel.
Unfortunately, this is the result of Weir's behavior. US Figure Skating has a goal of increasing the number of male skaters to be more competitive on the international level. Right now, in the US, I think there are 20 female skaters in the competitive ranks to 1 male. Which makes competitions for the men in the US not as helpful in preparing for international events. Johnny Weir(d) is not helping the cause.

Actually, it just comes off to me as someone who is blaming everyone and everything else for his own lack.
He doesn't have a quad jump and won't medal at the Olys in 2010 without at least one reliable quad. By 2010, he'll need 3 different reliable quad jumps.

Now...if you'd been smart - you would have checked your biorythms first - like Johnny boy.
You would have known your aura wasn't ready for the attempt and would've saved your face alot of pain and anguish. :)
