It makes Chavez look good. It makes him look good giving heating oil to low income people but giving heating oil to the homeless looks foolish. Are they talking about giving heating oil to homeless shelters?

Noam Chomsky is a communist, not a socialist, not anti-war or democrat. He is a Stalinist, a liar of the first rate, and a defender of the biggest mass murderer this world has seen.

All you ever need to know about Prof. Chomsky:
Although he lost some of his appeal in the late-1970s and 1980s by his defense of the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia, he has used September 11 to restore his reputation, indeed to surpass his former influence and stature. At seventy-four years of age, he is today the doyen of the American and much of the worlds intellectual left.

Why does Chomsky even live here? The rent, dear boy, the rent. Who else but MIT would pay this a&&hole a hefty six figure salary for doing no work? Do you think he actually teaches anything? No way. Tenure means saying F* you to the taxpayers and your fellow citizens, and smirking up your sleeve at the fools who send their children your way.

"Venezuela, by sending heating oil free of charge for poor and homeless people and at very low prices for those that can pay, is giving a great example of cooperation and solidarity with the American people; and the whole world is bearing witness to it,"
Meanwhile, oil workers in that nation are starving...

You'll notice Noam doesn't plan on moving there any time soon.

Noam's 77 years old. Like Jimmy Carter and Dan Rather, they ain't gettin' any younger...

Venezuela, by sending heating oil free of charge for poor and homeless people and at very low prices for those that can pay How are they doing that? Do you go some place and fill up a can?

Awright all you socio-philosopho-literary egghead types, somebody give me a "Chomsky for Dummies" synopsis...
Never bothered to read his stuff (having assumed it to be overblown horse sh!t) and probably never will. But I reckon I should have a footnote in mind for him.

Now that the word is out, that Venezuela and Cuba are true workers paradises on earth, I suppose the 20 million illegal aliens in the United States will leave the United States and beat feet for Caracas and Havana.
I won't hold my breath.

I noticed in the article that Chomsky is bad mouthing Ollie North.
I caught that. Ollie was a Lt. Colonel, IIRC.
Other than that, the Contras idea was a terrific one that really gets under the Leftists skin.LOL

You know, seems to me that Gen-X conservatives are going to have a lot of celebrating in the next decade or two as all these fossil commies bite the dust. Imagine a time when every week brings the death of yet another America hating RAT sob. They'll be croaking so fast and deep the conservatives will be able to make a drinking game out of it.

So they can start fires? I thought that was odd. I guess we can give the homeless car keys as well. Maybe we should give them hat racks.

I used to live on Cape Cod. That county, Barnstable, is represented by William Delahunt. I met him once, and for a demonrat, he seemed like a pretty good guy. But now he's thrown his lot in with Chavez and, by extension, Castro. I'd sure like to know how they're going to make sure that only low-income types in MA are going to be the only ones getting the lower-priced gas. Will there be means-testing at every pump in the Boston area? Or will those swells from Beacon Hill be able to drive their Saabs and Volvos down to Southie and fill up? As of Saturday here in Palm Beach County, CITGO had the lowest pump prices, but I'm boycotting CITGO since it's owned/operated by Venezuela.
