They've been looking for Bush's version of the impeachment story, and they haven't found it. They're so desperate, they're now lurching toward his VP.
What they don't understand is that, no matter how un-PC it is, the fact that the victim didn't die, and isn't claiming Cheney intended to hurt him, will make this a one-liner. It's something Letterman will joke about forever because he hates Bush, but eventually people just won't care. (They hardly care now.)

Hmm. Oral sex in the White House, between a man of power and a vulnerable intern or a hunting accident?
Gosh, it'd take a hard core liberal to equate the two.

Bob is a journalist? Maybe he's telegraphing his moves. Unbiased? Hardly. What a joke the NYT has become.
They need to embrace a "Stop Jihad Now!" pose to have any hope of a future.

Lets see how hard they report on the Union Lobbyists spending millions more on political support then on their own union members... that story will be breaking next week... but all the media will do is stick with Cheney..

No Mr. Herbert. The occupation media is headed for extinction one way or another. The story is not about Vice President Cheney any longer. The story is about you and the media.

How long can the press keep it up? Considering Cheney has too many health issues to think about running for President, I really don't see the point. It is not like he is going to be impeached over this. If for some reason Cheney would resign, I don't see that as a positive development for Democrats.

...will stick to Cheney like Crazy glue and that's bad news for the Bush administration Duh! In order for Mrs. Clinton to become our next POTUS the current VPOTUS be come do-o-o-o-wn.
Now is the time to start placing the bets.

Obvious the press is ignoring the comments by Mr. Whittington after his release from the hospital. He called this an accident and all seems forgiven. The press should do the same because it does not concern them or any of the rest of us......I know that would be expecting too much from the left

"How long can the press keep it up?"
For as long as they are irrelevant.
Chney's retiring after 2008. Much as I regret that decision Cheney has no career to "blight." No one cares about a hunting accident -- except the lamestream media. And the more they flog this story the less relevant they will appear.
