Would someone please sit this moron Graham down and explain the President's inherent Article 2 powers. Graham really is the Commander in Chief of the Republican On Kneepads brigade. He is an idiot. Someone who was a JAG should NOT be this mentally incompetent.
Graham is our senator and my husband has written him a few letters and you should see what he's gotten back. No real acknowledgement of the issues my husband raised, just a sort of weasling around the issues.
Brit says the leaking of the Eastern European facilities for holding and questioning terroroists resulted in the LOSS of those facilities. (I did not know that.)
He has been worse on the torture issue. Graham seems to think that just because he was a JAG attorney he is the final authority on all things related to military code of conduct. He arguments never get past "I was a JAG, I think this is illegal". Whereas defenders of the President's policies quote statute and case law, Lindsey just says it is because I say it is. No one ever asked him to define torture. For all we know his interrogations would look like a scene from the Monty Python skit on the Spanish Inquisition.
As for his time as a JAG, how do we know he never got past reviewing contracting documents for time, purpose and amount?
