Does any of y'all have the winner's list from last week?
Sorry, but I do not.
Just Fox for me, as usual.
From a look of the list - doesn't appear to be any Cheney attackers...
Fox has the best lineup....
I want to hear what Simpson has to say; don't care about Feinstein no matter who else is on.
Meanwhile, in the Real World, just last week:
The Patriot Act - which Reid bragged killing was not dead. 96/3 voted to keep it Alive.
Tax Cuts - Divdend tax-cut, Capital-gains tax cut extension.
January housing starts soar near 33-year high.
Retail sales up above expectations.
Stock market - DOW steadily up above 11000.
Ben Bernanke - unknown even to republicans - until Bush brought him as Fed.Gov, then moulded to his thinking as WH econ.advisor & placed as Fed.Chief with unanimous consent, takes over.
Roberts & Alito customary walk over at Supreme Court footsteps after ceremonial swearing-in.
Republican Fundraisers Off to Fast Start
Bush raises 3.1 million for Florida Republicans in 28 minute talk/fund-raiser meeting on friday.
Bush's Chat With Novelist Alarms Environmentalists - NYTimes headline.
Rove seeking Federalist Society's advice for ........................... YES!
L a m e - D u c k - i n d e e d.
Guess Biden's ghost writer has the flu...
And what? No Chuckie Shoe-Muck Schumer? Hmmm...
You have to be EFFING kidding me?!?
So "Gov't Response to Katrina (how did Bush screw up)" is the top story on all shows this week -- the ENTIRE hour on Timmah's show (good to know I can skip entirely)
Not quite more Chaney-TV (though I'm sure it will be talked about during the 'roundtables'), but WTF are the stories on Iran or Gore or the CONTINUING muslim riots (12 more dead yesterday), the Sadaam tapes and/or WMD talk from Iraqi officials, etc...
I am so disgusted with the MSM and PressCore...

Sunday Morning Show *Preview* for 2/19/06 (not the live thread)
It does include the list of links I found with either articles by or articles that provide info on the guests that might help explain why they were invited and what spin the shows are trying to put on their topics this week. Here are my predictions of the memes for each show:
Fox News Sunday (Chris Wallace)
NBC Meet The Press (Tim Russert)
CBS Face The Nation (Bob Schieffer)
ABC This Week (George Stephanopoulos)
CNN Late Edition (Wolf Blitzer)
Seattle Conservative (as usual) provides some excellent links and excerpts in post #17
malia has some very good questions for the shows in post #19 (I didn't think to ask if they were actually sent)
MNJohnnie posted a great question in #21 which I gather was sent to be posed to David Gregory and, if asked, it will absolutely nail him.
All in all I think it was a good thread. I know I got lots of stuff that I hadn't thought of.
Good morning and thanks again AB.
THanks for posting.
Not a single one of these scheduled people have anything to say that I want to hear.
MTP speculation
Wonder whether Tim's first question to Chertoff (like it was the last time Chertoff was on MTP) will be: Mr. Chertoff, shouldn't you resign?
Any comments on the new parody by Paul Shanklin? Tears came down my face when I heard it, which was dangerous since I was driving on an Interstate hwy!
---McCain and Lindsay Graham on Brokeback Mtn II
I don't remember any of the words, I was so shocked to hear it, all I could think was what will McCain and Graham think about it.
Frist & Boxer... which one will lose their panties first?
Good morning. AB, would you please add me to your ping list.
Linday Graham on FNC: Agreement to make FISA more flexible with broad congressional oversight.
(Well, that won't work. We already see what Congress does with oversight. Judith Miller leaked to an Islamic charitable group that they were about to be raided and we can just guess where she got THAT little tidbit).
Graham: We need judicial review if we're going to follow Americans around because otherwise at some point mistakes will be made.
Bayh: There are technological changes that have taken place in 30 years so we need changes. But I don't see why we can't make changes and also protect Americans.
(Maybe because if Americans are talking to Al Qaeda, they don't deserve protection. We need protection from THEM).
FNC: Dubai Arab group taking over 6 ports.
Evan: We need to look into this and make sure our national security is being protected. We have to, even if it costs us a few extra bucks, make sure that our ports are secure. Need Congressional investigation.
Lindsey: We should investigate it; don't know if we need to block it. Politically tone deaf to give a group that wants to destroy Israel a key role in our port security. But I don't want to make a judgment without the facts. We want free trade but want to maintain the infrastructure ourselves.
FNC: Bayh, you are actively considering the presidency. You're running at 8th place with 3%.
Bayh: I trust the future of our country more than the polls. D.C. is broken and I'm thinking about what role I can do to fix it.
FNC: You talk about how Democrats are viewed as soft on national security. Will it be a hard sell for Clinton to prove she can be tough on national security.
Bayh: No. It's a threshold issue for a future CIC. Anyone who is going to be the nominee needs to meet that threshold first.
End
Up next: Sen. Simpson to talk about quailgate.
Alan Simpson will at least set the whole Cheney thing straight ..... as he did quite well earlier this week.
