My husband just got home from Atlanta. Two servicemen got on the flight returning from a tour of duty in Iraq. The flight attendant told the passengers that they were home for a short time and would be deployed again. My husband and his seatmate gave these 2 guys their 1st class seats.

To your husband, his seatmate and the flight crew, a hearty thank you and God bless you.  To the servicemen, thank you is hardly enough, but that and God bless you is the best that I can do at the moment.

Sorry I just lurked today, still under the Weather and Arthritis making me type with three fingers at once again. Note to you all and Roger Ailes: Alan Simpson is SO spectacular, as he exhibited today on FNC with Chris Wallace .... HE NEEDS HIS OWN SHOW ... he's a statesman, a man of deep integrity, an oracle, a jewel, a gem, and SO knowledgeable AND entertaining ... How do we gotta get him on the airwaves regularly ... ??

Except for his pro-choice position, which frankly doesn't jibe with the rest of his character (and if I lived in his state I couldn't accept), I LOVE HIM as a voice of common sense ... it's like having Mark Twain in our midst.

It was a great thread and they get better each week. I am glad to see more new good posters all the time. There are so many lurkers that don't post, they may be a few DUmmies that get educated. I cannot take even tylenol because of other Health issues,but I will snap back. There are too many D-rats out there to overcome to take much time off. As usual this thread will be great fodder for Rush and Company. Freepers do their homework and legwork for them, and love making a huge difference.

He reminds me of Gary Cooper except he has a wicked sense of humor. He is so tall and he was a Teacher/Professor at Harvard along with Robert Reich who is under 5 feet tall. Together they looked like a Circus Act....

ABC news reported that Saddam said a WMD attack was coming to America, but it wouldn't be by Iraq. The actual translation that ABC hid is that Saddam said HE would use proxies so it couldn't be TRACED to Iraq.

The CIA said that Muslim extremists wouldn't do business with Saddam because of religious differences. One need only watch his trial to see how flimsy that belief was...Saddam knows when it pays to get religion. It's always been obvious to me that he would attack us by proxy. And with the oil for food program, cash and favors would make it that much easier.
