Thank you. This is my point and you put it better.
they aren't crystal light....but raspberry drink pouches....
cool- I almost threw those out...
I agree 100%
This is major. Your information is well sourced and needs careful examination to figure out what is really going on (which I trust you will do, given time). This could be one of the most important stories, both ways, since 9/11.
Then again, I have been wrong before. (please note: that is self deprecating humor, not directed at anyone else)
Seriously, in line with my recent efforts to advance the influence of FR, I would suggest that a thread be started by Cboldt on this topic (has one been started already?) with a specific invitation to "those that care to contribute" (not just kibbitz). Though I have argued with Cboldt several times (even getting heated on a couple of occassions) I have learned that he (she?) is a very knowledgable and resourceful advocate who is usually right and has the facts to back up any positions taken (much to my chagrin, damn it).
I feel very confident of the capablilities, discipline and commitment of the people on my new ping list for the Sunday morning preview thread. I volunteer to ping that list for such a thread if Cboldt will ping me when it is up.
Any kind of drink mix to flavor the water (even KoolAid) is treasured over there.
Thanks.....
(psssssssst- I think phsstpok just busted on me for kibbitzing.....even though I don't know what that means exactly.... but I bet I am guilty of it....)
Methinks he protesteth too much.
Would you like me to put you on our ping list so you can follow what we're doing and read the emails and see the pictures we get back from the war zones?
Sure! I would LOVE that! Thank you!
THWAP!
that's for not introducing me to patriciaruth and helping the troops earlier....
there is love in that thwap though....
:-)
Mara and I were classmates, Scarsdale High School, class of 1973.
We hung around with the same group of friends. The only thing we all had in common was the "book store" or "school store" as a hang out. One of the folks I sitll get (annoying) emails from turned into a radical leftist labor organizer for the phone company union out in California (she's back east, married to a rich Jewish doctor, but is still just as radical left). She's the one who told all of our common friends at our 30th reunion (where Mara showed up) that I was a "Jew hating NAZI" because I mentioned I hung out at FreeRepublic.
Of course, my wife was also part of the same group of people and I don't really remember her from that time (we only got to know each other later).
Let me extend my apologies to the author of the thread for going off topic (also known as hijacking the thread) to talk about nonrelated items.
(and I'll put you on the ping list)
LOL! thanks... I am never on topic....
and for some reason they still put up with me....
Thus, our task is clear.
Who do you think is still honestly open to argument and needs convincing?
I volunteer to find the right contact information and post it.
THWAP...back atcha FRIEND....I just KNEW you would be interested...you are just that kind of person!!
Ever since I have started doing this...I can't go to a grocery store or a Target without seeing things, and wondering if the troops would like things that I see!!
I usually run things by patriciaruth, because she knows the needs, and most of the wants of the troops...and I sure don't want to send something they wouldn't like.
I saw an interview last night on Fox with a military leader in Iraq...and he even mentioned that mail and packages from the USA is THE single most cherished thing by all of the troops..
Because you got us hooked, I'm getting off now to watch 24, two episodes of day two.
Curse you Red Baron!
GREAT and ADMIRABLE PLAN....only problem is that once they are informed.....then they won't be allowed on the shows anymore...
You are way behind the curve on this. Howlin has been one of my idols for quite some time. Contributing (in a small way) to getting her computer problems solved some months ago was a true thrill.
YOu lucky dog.i gotta wait
24 HOURS 25 MINUTES TI JACK BUAER KICKS SOME TERRORISTS ASS.
LOL! ouch!
do we have a master list of all the things that the troops really want and need?
