If you call him leaving her after she stood by him during his cancer a "mutual" divorce, be my guest.

Yeah, a mutual divorce is a terrible thing.

There's a morning radio show in KC that I very rarely listen to, but there was something on the station that I normally do listen to that I wasn't interested in, so I switched over. It was the day after Valentines day (I think), and they were interviewing this woman. It seems that she's been married for some time, and had been having an affair with a married man for quite a while. She said that they both felt that each other completed their lives, so they were going to tell their spouse that they'd met someone else, and were leaving, then would meet each other for a romantic weekend at a hotel.

Well, it seems that the guy wasn't quite truthful with her (ya think? After all, he was married and having an affair? Him, tell a lie? Who-da-thunk-it?) It turned out that he never informed his wife about the affair, and I guess he's been ducking her calls ever since.

I'm happy to say that most of the callers into the radio show said that she got what she deserved (she DID tell her husband that she was having an affair & was leaving him), and that the only down side to the story was that he wasn't getting screwed over as well.
