" [T]he debate playing out in the blogosphere, cable airwaves and on talk radio pits the Vice President against an allegedly left-wing, overly cynical, prissy White House press corps in a tizzy because it wasn't the first to know and angry because it hates the President and Vice President anyway. "
That's exactly right. And it comes from NBC's David Gregory.
Gregory goes on to announce that this description is "nonsense," but of course Gregory has not allowed himself to be questioned outside of his network. He doesn't return calls and he won't make himself available for questions about what appears to be his deep seated hostility for the vice president and the Administration.
A professional would have calmly assenbled the facts and asked specific questions from McClellan. Gregory's overheated demands to know the president's "feelings" about the incident revealed a great deal about Gregory's bias and his talents. Soxblog suggested in his 2/15 post that those who know Gregory say he is wrongly judged on his meltdown this week, but unless and until Gregory is as willing to answer questions as he is to pose them, we can assume that what we saw is what he is.
Gregory is now caught up in controversy and he's both stonewalling and trying to change the subject.
Those pics are great! My favorite is the one of Baby Davey in the playpen. He looks so happy...that must be the day Uncle Bubba babysat him....and touched his 'naughty parts'.
No I think Senator Bail Organa is running in 08
Gregory need his knuckles rapped with a ruler by Karl Rove.
OMG. I just went to see Gregory's blog- what a HOOT!
He apologizes for his temper tanturm- ..and then spends his time justifying it. This reminds me of nothing more that the way my son behaved, when he was in high-school.
I used to tell him- if you say "but" after an apology- it's all BS. Same goes for Gregory.
They fly so high, these reporters.
But NBC isn't going to fire his ass. He's giving them what they want.
Paging Mr. Gregory...paging Mr. Gregory...auditions for the remake of Planet of the Apes will be starting in ten minutes in Studio B.
Sent them an email requesting his firing and stated why.
Hey, it's Bail Organa.
I heard that on Glenn Beck's show. That was one of the funniest.
Frankjr,
Note at the end of the comment page: ".... Like comments, trackbacks do not appear until approved by us...."
Apparently my comment was not approved--twice.
I refered to his statement "....If you believe an accidental shooting by Vice President Al Gore would not be met with the same press scrutiny, I think you are not being honest with yourself..."
I said that statement was disingenuous. If a sitting President was accused of a rape (be it today or 20 years ago) I expect the media to cover it, investigate it and report it, NOT spike it. I thought he was being less than honest with himself and us. I went on to tell him he cannot have it both ways.
It must have hit a nerve because it has yet to show up and several comments have been posted since.
It was not a bash bubba comment, only a simple observation.
I must have hit a nerve. I wonder how many other comments he spiked that referenced Juanita.
