The Muslims refused to assimilate. They were expelled. This was the story in Europe 400 years ago. We are watching the sequel today.
Europeans are rarely welcoming to outsiders, even when the outsiders are blond and blue-eyed and come from the country next door. When the outsiders are un-European, swarthy and Muslim, they are tolerated at best. When some Muslims also insist that Europeans stop acting like Europeans, on pain of death, European tolerance comes to an end.

Because where else can you get trained enginners, gas statioln attendants, convenience store employees and newsagents willing to work for less than minimum wage, very often with no benefits.
They're simply "doing the jobs Americans won't do". No, they're actually "doing the jobs Americans won't take because they don't come with a dental plan, two weeks paid vacation and a 401(k)."
I'm sure if "Circle K Clerk" came with a stock option, some peope would jump at it, despite the minimum wage.
There is a cabal between some in government and many in industry to ensure a) a steady supply of people who will take what they can get with no complaints and b) that American business continues to maintain "profits" at the margins (i.e. by cutting salaries and benefits) instead of being innovative and competitive.
In the meantime, we're importing a cultural time bomb (several of them, in fact) when we let in or look the other way at, millions of people from places where there is no tradition of tolerance, pluralistic society or democratic institutions.
They either grow in numbers to eventually vote you out of your society or threaten the same. Time to go to bat for Western Civilization, folks.
it is very important to remember that the moslems have to be returned to their countries of origin.
If they are allowed to come to the USA they will MURDER this country.

The logical extension of your post, though, is that we're going to need to spend more, one way or another, to get the services provided by these workers. We have to pay some sort of reasonable wage, or the Circle K are restricted to kids working after school and retirees during school hours and at night. Or we need some sort of national health coverage. Or both.
Finally common sense is starting to prevail. America should prevent any immigration. The ones we have have not reached a critical mass and the muslim population in the US, in general, is still in its docile larval stage.
Do this all started as a failed German Experiment? Not for nothing, these Germans had millions of WWII refugees floating around, had just killed off millions of people for racist and other stupid reasons, and they choose Turks? What the F is wrong with these Germans! Maybe it is God's punishment for that whole Holocaust writ large (jews, poles, gays, handicapped) thing.
Islamic culture (an oxymoron?) is going to have to look into itself, never a happy process. If they want the cooperation and respect of the rest of the world Muslims must first clean out their own stable.
I don't believe we need either national health or a raise in the minumum wage. The issue is not so much that prices keep rising as much as it WHY those prices keep rising.
The fault lays in the business model in which someone decides what is an acceptable (or desirable) profit margin to make on a particular product or service, and then adjusts prices accordingly to always maintain that "built-in" profit.
It has led to a number of somewhat strange business practices, such as supply chain management, employee "metrics" (X # workers, working "Y" # of hours, produces "Z" units of work), and the "reclassification" of jobs (i.e. computer programmer,for example, was once considered a technical job, it is now more often than not classified as a "clerical" one. The reason is that technical jobs pay more, customarily, than clerical ones).
This is what American business has had to do (from a financial standpoint) to guarentee it's continued existance in the face of competition (foreign and domestic) in a society where 1 in 8 people is a shareholder, as compared to when perhaps 1 in 100 was.
The driving force is always numbers, never the effect on the people or the nation that comes from these policies.
My new term for them is "crimmigrants"
Who are they going to get them from? Certainly not us!!!
They chose Turks for a simple reason: 30 million German men had simply dissappeared (i.e. died)in the war. The nation was then divided by the victorious Allies, and labor (non Nazi labor. Remember, there was a vicious de-nazification process in the 1940's and 50's) was in a such short supply that even with the Marshall Plan and the acceptance of West Germany into NATO, there simply were not anouth people to do the work needed to put Germany back on it's feet.
So, they turned to an almost bottomless reserve of unskilled labor in the Middle East, which had mostly remained untouched by the war, and of whom, it could be reasonably expected, all would go home after their contracts ended. Unfortuntely, the 70's dawned and with it a whole host of touchy-feely, multi-culti philosophies regarding explotation, human rights, etc.
However, German industry became just as addicted to cheap labor as American industry is. Muslim immigration only became a major issue (rather than an acciptable annoyance) after the reunification of Germany (there were now East Germans who needed jobs, you know). But how do you reconcile the German need to be seen as "sensitive" (after their Nazi past) with the economic and political realties of today?
That's the heart of the issue. And it's an issue all over Europe. The Europeans have avoided answering it, and so, have planted the seeds of their own eventual demise because to do what is necessary is bad for the soul (not to mention public relations).
Western Culture is being destroyed from within by outsiders and their fellow-travelers on the political/academic left. Time to take out the trash, folks.

Europeans expelling Muslims? I'll believe it when I see it--in large numbers. This is not the Europe of old. They have traded worship of homosexuals for workship of the Lord. They have traded white guilt for patriotism. Soon it will just be Eurabia.

The Ottoman empire was allied with the Kaiser and the Austro-Hungarian empire in WW1; the end of the road for both empires, and the start of a very bad time for the Germans. Kind of an odd "marriage of convenience", though; the Ottomans and Austro-Hungarians had been historic enemies.
