Never said they are perfect...and never said that they didn't "entertain". I really like Paul Shanklin and Rush parodies. As Rush always says, all humor is rooted somewhere in the truth.

I agree that the shows may be filtered somewhat, but I shudder to think of the U.S. without the "filters" of conservative talk radio and lately the blogs. There is no longer any question which way the MSM leans...and if they were still in charge like 30 years ago, we possibly could be under muslim law by now....and we certainly would still be standing around, fretting over 9-11, frustrated and angry that the U.S. would not do anything about it.

As it is...shiria law ain't gonna happen here...not as long as we can get somewhere near the truth about what's happening right now and listening to the sounds of distant thunder.

BTW...I didn't say either that we here at FR should not criticize talk radio when it is needed and warranted. I know for sure that Hannity, Rush, Tony Snow and our own David Gold all monitor FR on while they are on the air. So if they go off the reservation, it is our obligation to at least say something....who knows, we just may present them with a perspective that they haven't thought of.

Also, FreeRepublic has some of the greatest researchers that exist anywhere. They feed conservative talkers with all kinds of data.

If the talkers get something wrong...they get it wrong...but they do not deserve to be trashed by their own people.

It is necessarily bad to filter what goes on the air, intentionally or not, as it has to be done to an extent or you would not have much of a show. The MSM filters in their own way too and without the conservative shows much of what is left out would stay that way.

And I do hope these shows read this site and listen to the criticism as we are their market. And one thing I find truly disturbing is how the Able Danger story is going unreported by them. I was also surprised when a Secret Service memo reporting an actual video of the explosion and additional suspect turned up at the recent OK City bombing trial and, even though it was reported on NPR of all places, they never touched it. Something is seriously wrong when that is the case.

FreeRepublic has some of the greatest researchers that exist anywhere. They feed conservative talkers with all kinds of data. --- Right on!

If the talkers get something wrong...they get it wrong...but they do not deserve to be trashed by their own people. --- BUT, they do deserve and REQUIRE those of us with honest criticism to come forward with that criticism.

It's not "TRASHING" as you continually whine. It is meant by some as constructive criticism.

I have been working in conservative politics since I was handing out "I Like Ike" buttons in '56. So your constant bull about "trashing" is just wrong-headed. Some of us care most likely even more than you do. And we chose to give our opinions on how Sean could be much more influential.

If Sean can't stand to hear that many out here think he'd be even more effective if he cut down on the sanctimonious tone (and improve his poor debating skills), then it's too damn bad for him. Then, that just means he's being petulant and really doesn't care about the conservative message as he proclaims nearly every moment of his life.
