'Hannitized'

Q: Have we seen the end of the Dick Cheney shooting-spree story?
A: No. I don't think so, only because it's got to make it through the Sunday news cycle. I think after that it'll probably go away. From all that we've seen, it just seems like a terrible accident ... . I thought he came across as very sincere in Brit Hume's interview.

I agree !!
He certainly does and that's why the liberals hate him.
Tony Snow is revered here and elsewhere. He is extremely likable, but he's just part of the problem (too "fat and happy" to rock the boat), but I'm just a pain in the *ss.
;-)
Seriously, Tony is not going to expose ANYTHING that will expose his sorry little inside the beltway rump! After all, that is why he is tolerated and why he has his position......... just like the rest of the lying little media compromising rats! Plain and simple.............. sorry Tony lovers. It's people like him who make this country worse. They assume positions in the media to purportedly expose truth........ yet they only purposefully go so far. They should have stayed in other businesses where they could only screw you in that way.
;-)

The old established/liberal/socialist media (and other unnamed accomplices) is America's most ruthless, relentless, and destructive enemy.
Huxley: The greatest triumphs of propaganda have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing. Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth." Old Media lives these words.
****
I must say, I am glad that I'm pushing 60 years old and have had my good years in this great and beautiful country. Because these politicians and media are hurling this country into the toilet and are turning against the Founders fine creation.
I feel for the young people! They never saw this nation when it was beautiful.
(JMO)
I hear you, and this is why this country is nearly dead.
Remember the protest riots of the 60's (whether the causes were correct or not)? Can you see any large group of people getting upset about our government and protesting like that again???? I can't.
Hell, when the abomination, Campaign Finance Reform, was passed I expected riots in the streets. When the crap about eminent domain went through I expected the people to go nuts.
Nearly NOTHING did the somnambulant people do to protest. They're comatose. The government and the media (same thing) have dumbed down and numbed down the people to the point that they do nothing.
The game is over....... and all that good blood the Founders spilled for this country is now officially wasted by the great majority of our politicians, media, and regular citizens.
It is way beyond sickening!
I couldn't agree more and that's why I'm not a snowflake. I'm pushing 65 and also realize our country is lost and I feel for my kids that don't see the damage being done to this country.
Good people doing nothing are going to bring about our demise as well as the openly anti-american groups.
I've sent Rush many 24/7 emails asking him to talk about AD and he just won't do it, same with the Barrett report.
BTS: Tony is a bit of a spinmeister himself but if you are critical of him on the flake thread you'll be flamed just as you are on the Sean thread.
By the way, you mentioned that Tony might be looking for those invitations to White House golf outings. Just my opinion, , but Tony looks to me like he'd be an embarrassment to himself and golf in general on the course. He's most likely too self-conscious to swing a golf club anywhere near well. Let the silly soft fellow stick to his "entertaining" band and avoiding important issues.
Bingo, you nailed it.
When I have to be in my car I'll tune in SH for as long as I can handle him and I've noticed a few times where he tries to make his voice a deeper tone. Almost like he's trying to imitate Edward R. Murrow.
There's something about a person that laughs even when something isn't funny, I always associate that with a phony. But that's just me.
First of all, regular people have jobs and no, most of them have NEVER, not once, in the entire history of American. ever taken to the streets to complain about a single thing.
Secondly, those bad old days of the 1960s, when people were marching against American involvement in Nam, THEY WERE NOT "REGULAR PEOPLE" AT ALL! Rather, they were card carrying Commies, RED DIAPER BABIES, fellow travelers, bunches of brain dead kids, who were out for a "good time" ( all of that sex, drugs, and rock&roll crap ), young men who, having NO patriotism whatsoever, were out to save their sorry skins from the draft, but to scared and/or too poor to run away to Canada or be in college or teach and their mothers and girl friends. Those marches and riots, were paid for, instigated by, and set up by the KGB and their American operatives.
Secondly, take a look at factual history and learn from it! When, before the late 1960s, did other Americans ever march against something? Well, there were those WW II vets, who went to D.C. and staged a riot/protest, to get the monies they claimed were due them. Not many went and MacArthur had then fired on.
Some Irish immigrants took to the streets of N.Y. C. and lynched blacks, burned down orphanages and yes, rioted till blood DID flow in the streets, because of the Civil War draft. But that was only in N.Y.C.; not all over the country, nor even in D.C.!
There was the HAY MARKET RIOT, but again, that was only in Chicago, was fomented by lefty agitprops, and had NOTHING whatsoever to do with government policies at any level.
I can continue in this vein, but these few examples really should be enough to disabuse of the opinion that it's only recently that most American don't "rise up and complain" about things. THEY NEVER HAVE DONE!
Now, you may be about to ask me WHY that is so, but please don't. I DO NOT KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT.
Hell, even at the time of the FFs, about 1/3 of the people here were against fighting for our freedom from England, another 1/3, or so didn't care either way and ignored it all, and while 1/3 were for it, even Thomas Jefferson refused to join in and actually take up arms and fight.
Me? I was out in the streets fighting the damned antiwar protesters; spitting on the ones who spit on soldiers and burned the American flag, yelling their same slogans back at them, as a weapon ( UP AGAINST THE WALL YOU xxxxxx), calling them traitors...... whilst dressed in high heels, a dress, my hair done, and in makeup!
Hmmm, what did I do. I finished up at Pitt in '68, went into the Army Security Agency '69-'70, played some baseball in Floriduh in the early '70's, then came home to start the working life.
Funny thing, while we were at Fort Devens taking code in Massachusetts, one good day we were put on alert to go down to Woodstock to look after the wet little hippies.
LOL!
Anyhow there were great demonstrations that you didn't mention in the earlier part of the century, but it really doesn't matter. It's a different time now, and the people, imo, are completely controlled by the influence of media . Simply, the media is everywhere.
You know, I can't help feeling that many people really missed something by NOT going through a short period (at least) where they rebelled from "the establishment" and acted out a little -- as you sarcastically refer, "all of that sex, drugs, and rock&roll crap". You seemed to have missed that period. Did you never enjoy a good joint or two in your life? If so, that's a shame, imo. ;-)
Anyhow, you are right about the communist instigators and agitators in the anti-war demonstrations. Recently exposed Soviet papers have proven that. But there were a substantial number of relatively reasonable and good people who took part in those demonstrations too. And let's not forget the good people who took part in the civil rights walks and demonstrations in the early 60's. Not all demonstrations, or as you wish to seem to want to call them "riots" were numbered with a bunch of hooligans. Along with the trouble makers and hangers-on, there was really a majority of well-meaning participants.
You mean like the WOMEN'S SUFRAGE MOVEMENT? :-)
Good grief, don't tell me that YOU, of all people, fell for that garbage about "rebel, rebel, REEEEEEEEEEEBEEEEEEEL!"?
HELL NO (!), I have never smoke a joint in my life; but then, neither have I ever snorted cocaine, dropped a Quaalude, shot up with heroin, dropped acid, done speed, committed adultery, sniffed glue, done 'shrooms, peyote, LSD, X, Meth, or even binge drink/drink to get drunk. And NO (!) none of that is a "good" thing and I missed NOTHING, by NOT doing any of that self destructive, STUPID stuff!
Shame on YOU, for even saying that guff.
No, there was a segment of society, who were VERY stupid and gullible, who were USED by the stinking Commies. They were also MEDIA driven and influenced to "demonstrate"; as you want to PC label their actions an d horrible behavior.
And now, I'll tell YOU something, which it appears you don't know about. When I was home on vacation, watching the news with my mother, some "peaceful" protesting South Koreans came on the screen. Now, this was before the Civil Rights Movement hit the news and very much earlier than the MORONIC , KGB driven and funded anti-Nam War riots ever took place. I said to her, gee, we should do that. To which she replied, Americans DON'T do such things.
Now, my mother was a news/history/politics junkie. She was a walking, talking encyclopedia, when it came to that stuff. So, I'll take HER word for that, over yours, any day. :-)
BTW, I left out the anti-nuke demonstrations ( all of those run, paid for, and participated in my stinking Commies, Read Diaper Babies, and fellow travelers !), the demonstrations for Sacco and Vanzetti ( more stinking Marxists and anarchists as well, who WERE guilty! ), the demonstrations FOR the Rosenbergs and against the government, and those engaged in by the WOBBLIES. You wanna discuss those? :-)
And, FWIW, not only did I read about the call for demonstrators to come to the Sheeps' Meadow, in Central Park, to be TRAINED in "street warfare", prior to the Dem Convention in Chicago, but I saw it and heard it, with mine own eyes and ears, quite by accident, actually, so know, KNOW, beyond a reasonable doubt, that it was NOT a "spontaneous" action; as so many people still claim it was.
"Well meaning participants", my Aunt Fanny!
LOL
By the way, that was quite a list you reeled off without being part of it. " I have never smoke a joint in my life; but then, neither have I ever snorted cocaine, dropped a Quaalude, shot up with heroin, dropped acid, done speed, committed adultery, sniffed glue, done 'shrooms, peyote, LSD, X, Meth, or even binge drink/drink to get drunk."
It's always funny how some who have never participated tend to lump all of those variant experiences together.
And.......
And "now, I'll tell YOU something, which it appears you don't know about." --- How could I have known???
" When I was home on vacation, watching the news with my mother, some "peaceful" protesting South Koreans came on the screen. Now, this was before the Civil Rights Movement hit the news and very much earlier than the MORONIC , KGB driven and funded anti-Nam War riots ever took place. I said to her, gee, we should do that. To which she replied, Americans DON'T do such things" --- what are you talking about here? When were you on vacation, what year are you talking about? "Americans DON'T do such things" -- what does that mean? What don't Americans do?
I lumped all of those things together ( and I could have added other things as well. LOL ), because they belong together. Every single one of those things are BAD!
My point in recounting that anecdotal incident, was that my mother said that Americans just don't behave that way and they hadn't, until quite some time later. Oh yes, tiny, disparate groups had ( well, sort of , but not really ), in the past, but it wasn't until the bad old days of the late '60s/early '70s, that they did so.
Well, at least you didn't go to Woodstock without being ordered to! :-)
LOL........... we were put on alert but never went. They called it off.
