My perspective on the Cheney incident is that it was handled perfectly. Sure, the MSM desperately desires that they could have had at Cheney moments after the accident occurred, but Cheney is far too compassionate to put his dealings with the media before the health and welfare of his hunting companion, and he is far too intelligent to throw himself to the wolves.
Listen closely to the MSM and the 'Rats and what do you hear? One mantra is that "the VP should be held to a higher standard than what is required under the law." Interestingly, the mantra was just the opposite when a 'Rat P chose to perjure himself and encourage others to do so for him, and when a 'Rat VP chose to claim the absence of a legal authority concerning shaking down foreign nuns for illegal campaign contributions. However, the facts of the Cheney incident show that he did hold himself to a higher standard than the law. TX law has no requirement for law enforcement to be notified, yet Cheney's party notified local law enforcement the day of the accident.
From what I can tell, Cheney has emerged from this smelling of roses, while the MSM and the 'Rats continue to look like fools as they play their game of sandbox politics in the public eye. Sure, Cheney screwed the pooch big time. I'm sure his male pride took a serious hit upon causing a serious accident that required violation of some basic rules of firearm safety. However, he didn't break the law, he didn't abandon his companion, he didn't dodge responsibility, and, fortunately, his official duties don't require him to be carrying a shotgun on the job. I can only hope that the 'Rats and the MSM will continue to bellyache about this, as the more they do the better Cheney and the 'Icans look.

I've been switching over to MSNBC, at that time, because I just can't take any more of Shep.
I'm amazed that Matthews just doesn't get it. Has he no idea what middle America thinks?
And----- why the heck is Ron Reagan still being called on for an opinion on anything?

In a conversation with a lefty, I said that quail hunting accidents like this one are very common and the media response was "much ado about nothing". He is convinced that the accident was staged to divert the media from really bad news like the war we are losing, the environment that is going down the tubes, gas prices are going to break us, the economy is busted, etc. etc. I am so glad I am not a liberal, they are just pathetic.

Chris Matthews is a flaming a******.

It must really stink when two people watch Chrissie's show every time it comes on. Does there really need to be a post about every wishful idea this spittle spewer expresses?

Did it ever cross Matthews' mind that the President of the United States had more important things to do Saturday night and Sunday morning than worrying about his VP's personal events?

"When Allen answered "not necessarily," Matthews cut him off: "don't say that. Help me out here!" Who bothers watching that ass-clown anymore, anyway?

The MSM is literally at war with this administration.
Just glad FOXNEWS is out there...and thinking that without the internet, President Bush would be Nixonized by now.
