He has the attitude, ethics, and accent of a Bronx used car salesman. He won his first campaign by whispering that his opponent would build low income housing for blacks in white neighborhoods. Most of his backing comes from the more unethical branch of the financial services industry (debt consolidators, penny stock kingpins, etc.).
In short, I wouldn't pee on him if he was on fire. Nor would I take seriously anything my former Senator had to say. Besides, listening to him and Savage talk would only be made worse by the addition of Susan Estrich.
BTW: I have no problem with the proposed action. Everything will be run OK so long as Sheik Makhtoum, who runs the most progressive state in the Middle East, and one with a truly free market, is in charge. They have done a wonderful job at the port in Dubai.
