You say nothing changes? UAE will be in charge of security personnel. Hiring security personnel. That does not mean changes? So, I'm stupid and don't understand?

Odd as this may sound, security at U.S. ports is handled by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Try again.

UAE will be in charge of security personnel. Hiring security personnel. That does not mean changes? Why would you believe such a thing? Because SCHUMER says so? Have we learned NOTHING?

The ONLY 'security' the UAE company will be in charge of is the security of their assets at the port. Just as any 'leaser' of dock space.
How can some of you be so naive as to think Bush would put NATIONAL SECURITY in the hands of ANYONE!!!!
PLEASE!! This is a shipping company basically that is being sold. NOTHING will change, NOTHING will be different operationally from the company who is selling it. The new owners will have to abide by OUR rules and regulations!!
The British government has no problem with this sale and they will be operating in THEIR PORTS ALSO!
There has been enough information and links posted the past few days that there is NO EXCUSE for this inane gullible thinking!
