We've got a whole generation of kids who know nothing about electronic inerds.

I used to help my Dad put his Heathkit gear together about 30-40(?) years ago.

And it sits in my attic as we speak. :-)

A couple of years ago, I helped my parents clean their basement. "Our" first color tv was a Heathkit, went into the dumpster. Wired remote control, too.

(It helped that Mom's brother was a EE and could make it work.)

In this these days of flat screens, you would not believe the curve on that mid-to-late 1960s tube.
