There's nothing ILLEGAL going on (apparently).

1. It's private property.
   
2. With Private Property the OWNER can keep anyone OUT as they please. This includes posting ARMED Guards.
3. On Private Property ANY law abiding Citizen or LEGAL resident alien can carry firearms
   
4. On said PRIVATE property said firearms can be discharged.
5. Automatic (Class 3) Weapons are NOT Illegal (depending on NY state Law)
   
6. As to the 'explosions' heard. The owners could be clearing tree stumps or boulders.
   
7. Also, gun powder and cannon fuse is LEGAL. So again any 'explosions' heard are meaningless.
   
8. And the neighbors don't like the camps name, well excuuuuuuuse me while I call the KGB.

Bottom line, if these people weren't Middle Eastern, this would be a non story. Plus what do the neighbors want? An FBI-ATF raid and have another WACO. That was wrong and so would this. Or maybe 'they' want a new gun law - 'Whites Only'. Yeah, that's the ticket.

NYS state absolutely does bar automatic weapons (except with special licenses - and they're nearly impossible to get). Pistols are darned hard to get, too.

They same could be said about Japanese people doing the same things during WWII. Why in the hell would we ever tolerate our enemy during time of war training on our own soil?!

Seems like you're right. But this is still disturbing. It's a tough call- if these folks aren't doing anything illegal, what can really be done about them? This country is full of whacky people living on their property and refusing to mix much with the outside world.

But these people are spouting an open ideology of violence against non-Muslims. That ideology gave us 911, and we are at war with it.

These training facilities, or whatever they are, should be looked into closely. If there are any ties to any known terror organizations, then they should be shut down forthwith. Under those circumstances, if they resist, force should be used to shut them down.

Doesn't matter what color they are...doesn't matter what status they have. If we are at war, and people start training on our own soil with weapons in open support of the very ideology we are at war with...you look at it with a microscope and respond accordingly.
