If the GOP loses the House, a Democrat-controlled house WILL impeach the president.

Even if the GOP loses the Senate, I don't think Bush would be convicted. No way 67 senators would be on board with that.

The thing is that dealing with a House impeachment probe will be enourmously distracting to the admin. It's a dangerous time for the feds to be distracted.

One-issue Freepers who have a pathological need to be important, who petulantly insist they will 'stay home' unless the GOP is much more aligned with their values, should realize this.

The GOP will hold both houses. Bush is going to campaign like there is no tomorrow (which for him, there is not).

the impeachment crap will get nowhere. He's got the dems on their heels big time.

The flipside of that statement is that Republicans politicians who want to stay in power should not forget that they are supposed to be somewhat conservative.
