And the scores are randomly chosen by the computers. Then high and low are tossed. It just sounds so un-interactive. And they wonder why the audience isn't interacting with the skaters.

I would like to point out that the USA women's curling team is pretty hot, even though they are not winning, and I have no clue what they are doing.
I know it's not live, but what the hey, it had to be said.

At least before, we could all whine about the "Russian judge", or talk about how all of the Eastern Block countries seemed to vote together. Now it's a Black Box.

What happened with Eddie Sutton?
And, yes, you can talk ANYTHING here -- well, almost anything.

I thought Scott got a clean bill of health several years ago. Have we learned something new?

It's sort of like Campaign Finance "Reform" -- the money is still there, the politicians just figure out alternate avenues to get it!

USA finished 4, 5 & 7. Maybe that's a good omen for the next Winter Olympics. They've got time now to practice and hopefully, mature.

Did you hear Hamilton during the last guy's skate??
He said if he had waited 5 more seconds to do some big jump, he would have gotten more points...because it would have been in the second half of the program..
OH, puh-llllleeeze..you are right---they have screwed up the scoring system to where the audience is not involved..and when they FALL it should knock them out of a medal...
To: Timeout
I think we should all "heavily invest ourselves" in curling. I'm serious. It's nail biting tense!

And under the old system (judged fairly of course) he probably would have won the free skate; however, he didn't do a quad (the Canadian guy basically just "chucked" his and splatted to get the points) and that cost him. Also, he didn't go in the final flight of skaters and therefore probably received lower component scores than he should have... However, he's still young for a male figure skater and will most definitely be an Olympic gold medalist come Vancouver. :)
To: mass55th
Could be. And maybe we can all hope that Weir gains some humility during that time. Tonight should help with that.
