I think the bobsled would be more of my liking. At least then, I know where the sled is going, and my head isn't inches off the ground. LOL

I was caught in a brief but raging hail storm in Michigan this afternoon. The weather here has gone nuts...we had snow last night (winter storm warning) and heavy, heavy rain today along with hail, thunder and lightning, all while the temperature was in the mid 30s.

So the skeleton is like the luge, only with the luge you're on your back on the sled and moving feet first, but with the skeleton you're on your stomach and moving head first???
GAAAAAAH!

A week before Christmas we had a good old fashioned winter blizzard with thunder and lightning.

I like the easy going camaraderie of the snowboarders seen at the end of thier runs.
To: BigSkyFreeper
Was it the Jamaican bobsled team that created such a following about 12 years ago? I would love to have a t-shirt from that Olympic event. Hmmmm. Wonder if E-Bay has that item?
To: Jrabbit
I don't mind being bored during tornado season...but, I also remember when we used to have a least a few good snowstorms a year...but, not anymore!!
Are you prepared for freezing rain tomorrow through Sunday??
BTW..I like this snowboard racing also...
To: Dolphy
I knew there was going to be a massive cold front moving through, we were in the 60's with snow predicted for tonight. But I've never seen hail like today. There was about an inch of hail on the highway, that's when I decided I'd rather use the back roads!
To: Purrcival
And they're on a little tiny sled type thing.

I'm fairly close to Lake Placid and did the bobsled run a few years back. Pros at the front and back for steering and brakes. You FLY down the track. Lots of fun!
To: Purrcival
LOL!! E-Bay does INDEED have IT, whatever IT is!

I am worried about my garden. This weather is hard on perennials and spring flowering shrubs. I am guessing I will lose some plants this year.
