At some point, didn't the Ruskies also issue similar warnings over Iraq?

"This may stir the whole world, and it is crucial to prevent anything like that," Baluyevsky was quoted as saying. Not the "Arab street" thing again.
Wonder if the Russkies are collecting bribes from the Iranians like they did with the Iraqis?

the Russians and Chicoms are up to something Something like, the Dragon's Fury. Been saying this a long time...we should treat the Red Chinese like Reagan treated the Soviets.

If Russia wants to resists a strike by US, Russia may always send its military for defending Iran. Days later, Russia's military force will cease to exist, including those in Russia.

No more intriguing than their covering for Iranians in 1979, if your memory runs that far back. Deep civilizational affinities, like "International of despots". Boringly predictable.

This reminds of that story about the guy who got bit by his snake, and he asks the snake why it bit him. The snake responds that he is a snake. Russia will be one of the first to get screwed by Iran.

What does Russia suggest be done about this situation instead? and if we dont act now ... when should we act? after they use a nuclear weapon?
