New York -- For days, the White House news corps has pounded the Bush administration, demanding to learn more about Vice President Dick Cheney's accidental shooting of a hunting companion Saturday.
Cheney finally addressed the incident Wednesday, but the forum in which he chose to do so -- in an exclusive interview with Fox News host Brit Hume -- quickly became another source of contention.

I guess they didnt LISTEN to what he said...
He stated quite clearly that they are just jealous they didn't get the story first, and now the idiots walked in and proved him right.
Heard that too! What a howl.
Russert is totally a waste anymore.
I would like to know what Rush thinks of Tim now. Russert is a red light in the middle of the Sahara desert. Totally insignificant...unless you are a socialist liberal syncophant.
Funny!
Actually I think that by pointing it out they are admitting their own liberal, conservative hating traits.
I think that was an excellent answer. It skirted very nicely the fact that FOX leans to the right.
Noonan wasn't really proposing that Cheney be replaced, as much as she was playing clairvoyant. Noonan just wanted to be the first one to make the prediction, out loud. My guess is that Noonan is a John McCain fan.
Excellent point.
..."if you must"..
or Howdy Doody when he wears a western shirt.
Democrats taking up the cry of the media.
The MSM and the Democratic Party - two peas in a pod.
The shooting certainly wasn't part of any "GOP message" , but to jump to the demands of old media would have been completely contrary to that idea. And the VP would be more than happy to comply with that part of the plan.
Gregory often appears on Hardball with Chris Matthews.
The above is a quote from an online bio of DG.
It is somewhat clear he has been on a MSM roll so to speak. The only WH corr traveling with the President on election day.
He is on the treadmill and cannot afford to slow down. I believe that is why he threw a tantrum at the WH earlier this week. He has come to EXPECT things just for being DG.
He has forgotten what he was supposed to learn about "how to win friends and influence people", otherwise they would not be shutting him out.
This guy is so full of himself now, and his bio won't even reveal how old he is. He has reached his peak, and has no where to go but on a slow downward trajectory.
It is a difficult thing when a person sees their life this way...but that is my bet with DG. Meltdown city!!!!!!!!!!
Rush has been on Russert's case a bit more lately, and notice that he hasn't done the year end CNBC our long interview for 2 years, iirc.
Do you know of a thread or article about this? It's the sort of information I'd like to file away for later. :)
The prima donna media is upset they were cheated out of their "face in the camera" time.
HORRAY for the VP for by-passing the mediots.
this incident exposses the WH press corps for the irrelevent buffoons that they are.
George Allen would be the only choice other than Condi.
Critics Slam Cheney
and keep that on file for easy access. They are just pinging away for any chance to slam him on anything and they are like kids at Christmas with this tragedy that has happened, the accidental shooting, and they feel free to bash away.
Lesson in logic....
All socialist liberals (Greenfeld) are children who refused to grow up.
No need to shout your opinions.
In fact, you alienate me from your views by doing that.
Not only is he being a jerk, he is not the greatest example of his heritage.
Not very many black skaters of any kind out there that I have seen, and this jerk stands there and does an "in your face" interview. I don't know what events he is skating, but I WILL NOT be cheering for him ever- Olympics or not.
