PHOTO EXCLUSIVE: Madame Tussaud's wax rendition of Sen. Hillary Clinton sports an appropriately frozen smile. Photo: N.Y. Post: Jim Alcorn
Here's a philosophical question: Isn't creating a wax figure of Hillary Clinton just a wee bit redundant? In her robin's-egg blue pantsuit, strenuously coiffed hair, and a smile plastered on her puss that says, "Don't eff with me, buddy," Her Hillaryness serves as inspiration for the newest dummy to grace Madame Tussaud's in Midtown.
All of which makes me wonder: How can you tell the real one from the fake? And, perhaps more importantly: Is there really much difference?
I got a sneak peek at the brand-new and totally unauthorized wax sculpture of Hillary, to be unveiled today at a mock Hillary 2008 political rally - just in time for Presidents Day.
Get it?
Now, I've met the former and wannabe future White House tenant on many occasions over the years. And I've studied and absorbed her shtick with equal parts fascination and revulsion, bordering on scary obsession.
My, how she's grown! When Hillary first shot out of husband Bill's shadow, lusting for political power, she was a painfully stiff, but hardworking, speaker with lousy hair and leftist ideals.
Now she's developed into a painfully stiff, but hardworking, speaker with world-class hairstylists and center-right ideals that poll well in red states.
Still, it came as a shock to enter Tussaud's gallery - and see Hillary looking as if a butter pat would turn to ice in her mouth.

It was a tough audition though. They told Hillary she had to slim down her thighs and calves before they would seriously consider her.
She looks like a blond Joyce Meyers...
Gagola! Gosh, it hurts my eyes just to look at that creature. Is it true they're going to put a duplicate of that statue at the gates of Hell?
Not very realistic -- pantsuit isn't quite crusty enough...
If they put that Statue at the gates of every whorehouse in Nevada the place would go out of business and men would leave gagging and puking, without ever going inside. LOL
Thanks, That's a good one.
Reminds me of one of those plastic, clown-faced punching bags kids used to have.
This is what the French think a perfect cow should look like. Hillery, I know what a perfect cow looks like and you are not a perfect cow.
Good photo, just remember you can put lipstick on a PIG but it's still a PIG. Amen.
Hahahaha! I saw the pic, and thought that it really was Hillary, but with a new face lift. Then I read the article. Why did they dress her in pyjamas?
Hillary's been mightg busy getting an Extreme Makeover..............
Nice going, Liz!
Any truth to the rumors that she was spotted reading Atlas Shrugged the other day?
Right. Black pants suit, ashtray in the upraised hand, and someone's confidential F.B.I. files held behind her back with the other hand.
Also, correct "size" and hair color at the very least.
There was an awesome tribute to the firemen and policemen who responded to the 9/11 attacks, including a wax replica of the three fireman raising the flag at the site of the attack.
Hillary, being the smartest woman in the world first ran for the Center... and the base is ticked off.
That is why 51 percent of the voters say they would not vote for her at all. 16 percent of voters are in her corner and 32 percent say they would consider her for president.
Look at those numbers. Sixteen percent is not even half of the Democratic base. And It is obvious that Hillary will do best in the liberal states perhaps she is currently at 17 to 30 percent. She will likely be at 5 to 10 percent in the conservative states and only 10 to 16 percent in the battleground states. That is not enough to win enough Democratic Primaries to be the nominee.
The Democratic Base sees Hillary and Bill as DINOs. They were in office 8 years and did not get one liberal thing accomplished. What they did do was enact a lot of the Republican agenda. It was the Clinton's who ended welfare as we knew it and said the era of big government was over. To a leftist Democrat not even a RINO is that conservative. The Democratic Base does not want any more of the Clintons.
The Democrats are not in love with Hillary. I think HIllary stupidly believed that the nomination was hers for the asking. First after McCain Feingold was found legal, she and Bill took most of the fund raising power from the DNC and put it in Clinton Controlled 527s. She felt that if the Clintons were the source of money for most Democratic candidates, they would have to support her for president. I think she felt she would not face opposition in the primaries.
But Howard Dean fooled them. They have been trashing Howard for not having a lot of money in the DNC accounts. But Howard did raise a lot of money.. He just transfered it from the DNC to the state parties. That is one reason the state parties love Howard and they are not dependent on Hillary as a source of money. It will now cost Hillary and Bill big bucks just to keep the state party people neutral.
Plus Hillary is just not likable. People like Bill. People as a rule do not like Hillary. That can be as many as 10 million votes in a presidential election. The base knows her as a RINO that could be 5 to 10 more million who would likely sit on their hands on election day in Nov 2008. Those two things if not overcome would make Hillary impossible to elect.
But the big factor is the democratic base does not want her. And every time W. refers to her husband as his brother and they publish a picture of Bubba sucking up to the Bushes the base goes ballistic. They will vote for someone else in the primaries.
Hillary will have to make a very hard left turn in order to get the nomination. If she does she will not stand a chance at winning the general election. If she does not make a hard left turn, she can't win the primaries.
The media is trying to tell us the choices will be Hillary against McCain. McCain does not have a snowballs chance against anyone in the Republican primaries. And Hillary is in big trouble as well.
It is very hard to know a full two years in advance who the Democratic Nominee will be. In 1970 no one would have predicted McGovern would be the Democratic nominee in 1972.. Yet he was. In 1974 hardly anyone outside of Georgia has heard of Jimmy Carter but he got the nomination in 1976. In 1990 no one was predicting Bill Clinton would be the Democratic Nominee in 1992.
The media has favorites and they try to promote them. But they have had zero success at doing that over the years.
Hillary wants to be president. She does not want to be the Defeated Democratic Nominee and she wants to be defeated in the primaries even less. I think if nothing changes Hillary will not run.. She will wait until 2012.
The media rarely knows... and rarely reports the truth when they do in fact know it.
