You DO know that Zeta-Jones is married to Bill Clinton's A#1 donor and benefactor and Democrat honcho, do you not?

I see her photos pasted on FR threads and I always wonder what the point is, given that she's married to Mr. Top Liberal Democrat himself.

Yeah, they do so give women who support themselves a bad name, no doubt about it.

For some reason a lot of incredibly irrational people hate Peggy Noonan.

That is a bit much. Noonan is a subject of fair comment, and when she goes off into the fuzzy, day dreaming as a substitute for ruminating, fact free, speculative, opaque, pointless twilight zone, it is fair comment to observe as much. That ain't hate, and it ain't irrational.

I have silently concurred with you for a while, NP.

I have watched Peggy's long, slow, sad spiral down into MoDo-style bitterness since after 9-11.

I also note S-9's thought: is she bowing to peer pressure? The party invitations seem to be a motivating factor in a lot of people's minds, it seems...

Perception is everything. People who reject Noonan's platitudes are not engaged in "hating" her as a person...but rejecting her perspectives. It's just easier to be casual about it.

But, perception is everything. Noonan presenting "as a conservative" ongoing comments and spin questions similar if not equal to those being presented by liberals means she's a liberal, at least tacking the liberal position.

I think her work with Reagan was probably just that: work with Reagan. Meaning, it was Reagan's talent that got Noonan the gold star status. Left to her own devices, she sounds more like Hillary with every passing month.

Liberals in Republican offices and candidacies are what loses races for Republicans.

We all know about Douglas' liberalism, but as bad as he is, Doud is worse. And CZJ is a great poke in her eye.

And lets face it, some things transcend politics.

But I heard a great joke when Mrs. ZJ had her daughter. The first words were "just think, Honey. If you follow in my shoes, your future husband is 40 years old today!"

Thank you, thank you so much! :-)

I think that Peggy is VERY angry and bitter about no longer being an "insider" in the White House.

The only way that would happen is if Cheney himself steps down. One name will put a shiver in the spine of ANY dems.... Condi Rice for VP... BRING IT ON MF!!!

People want to start throwing names around? Start wondering WHAT IF? Condi would be the grinch that stole the libs christmas in 2008... The Ultimate Trump Card..

That was Peggy's slide into perfidy!

And yes, I was excoriated, slammed, trashed, yelled at, told that I wasn't a "REAL" Conservative, that I hadn't "understood" what Peggy had meant, and on and on and on. Simply put, I was right, every single last one of my detractors was wrong, and Peggy is a slimy, nasty, bitter, hack.

The ONLY "irrational person" is YOU! If you like and agree with this article of hers, then you are delusional; to say the least.

Peggy isn't hated; she is reviled and deservedly so.

Michael Douglas was seeing Maureen Dowd and dumped her for Zeta-Jones. That's when MoDo went truly nuts. Sooooooooo, whenever MoDo is mentioned here, the pictures of Catherine get put up.

This is a little different.
I know it sounds funny but Mr Cheneys incident gives him the sheen of danger. Like you dont want to mess with this guy or he'll take you hunting. I dont think it did any real damage.

I remember that, it was the Inagural speech. She was on Fox news right after the speech and gave it a glowing report and then wrote a nasty column about it for the Wall Street Journal a few days later.

As Wayne Campbell said... "And monkeys might fly out of my butt!"

Say what you will about Wayne. I'm convinced he was the brains of that operation.

I've lost count how many times she and others have said Cheney should be replaced

For some odd reason they think replacing him would get the liberal media off the President's back

She and others need a good slap of reality

And they also seem to forget how the press treated Ronald Reagan during his term in office

What has gotten into Peggy?,

Sounds like she wants our side to bend over to the liberal media and give them Cheney's head on a stick

That and have an Oprah moment and say we are sorry

Wow Peggy is giving the National Enquirer and the Globe a run for the money. This is so tabloid... it's empty calories and insulting at the same time. Peggy, really now...
