Come on, Mojo! Quit slacking and participate, will ya? (Talk about a slacker!) Ahem! Now where were we? Oh Yeah!

This is a fun, friendly cooking contest open to anyone who would like to participate! There will be prizes! Imagine dat! First, second and third prizes, and honorable mention!

The prizes are cookbooks from Ms. B's extensive collection!

First prize: Patti Labelle's Lite Cuisine

Second prize: Greatest ever Thai Recipes

Third Prize: An appetite for Passion

Honorable mention: Pizza by James McNair

**  Winners will be announced two weeks from tonight! **  Entries can be main course, desserts, or side dishes! **  Please post your entries to this thread by midnight,        EST on Feb. 17, 2006. **  Make sure Ms.Behavin is in the "To" line of your post      to be considered for a prize!

Our panel of impartial (?) judges will have the final say!

I love cooking with wine! Sometimes I even put it in the food!

Disclaimer: Any kitchen disasters are the sole responsibility of recipe posters and participants! Keep a fire extinguisher handy! If you have dogs, you can get rid of disasters before your spouse gets home.. If the dog won't eat it, resort to shovels! Have fun!

S.O.S. 
  
¼ cup butter 
¼ cup flour 
2 cups whole milk 
1 small onion, chopped 
1-8oz pkg. dried beef, chopped 

Optional: dash of garlic powder  


Melt butter in skillet. Sauté onions. Stir in flour. Blend in milk, stirring constantly. When thickened, add chopped beef, heat briefly. Serve on toast. 

 
Optional: Sprinkle grated cheese over the dish before serving.

Tulsa's Forcast:

Today Partly cloudy. Breezy. Highs in the lower 70s. Temperatures falling into the 40s late. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph shifting to the northwest 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 35 mph.

Tonight Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 20s. North winds 10 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph in the evening.

Good morning E!! I'm good. SLowly waking up with my coffee today. It's supposed to get up to 65 or so, then T-Storms this afternoon and down to the upper teens/ lower 20s tonight. That's a bit of a swing -- T-Storms for sure!!

Not hot. Kinda like Mild Pace Picante Sauce. I don't care for pica hot foods. I'd rather taste flavor than fire.
