The new system at work is going really slowly......It's still pretty frustrating and we've been working on it for 7 weeks now.

You cracked me up..."We smile and wave and send them away". LOL!!

Are you in the same neighborhood as before? Have people followed you to your new place and are expecting a new place to open?

Thank you soooooo much for having Connie on, and for talking about Proud Patriots, and for always keeping our troops in your prayers.

We are close to where we were.I had people call me Christmas morning.Yes they are begging for a new place and so is Goodwill and the others to handle the overflow. We threw half of it out-trash bin 400.00 a month,we had people trip insurance without liability 3,000.00 a year,taxes,6,000.00 a year plus repairs plus heating,electric,phone,extras-I wave hi to the people and keep the door locked for now.

I hear you. Lots of stress in there, what with taxes and insurance. God always has a plan for you.

My favorite side dish Sauteed brussels sprouts:
Use as many brussels sprouts as you think will
fit in a a large skillet.
First, heat your oven to 400 degrees.
While it is heating, take 2, 3 dozen b sprouts,
rinse in cold water, cut root tips off and cut sprouts in half. You may either remove the outer leaf and
discard or remove and throw these in the skillet with the cut-in-half sprouts. )Sprouts should be cut in half so that they sit in the pan the LOWEST way, not HIGHEST way. Pan should have enough olive oil to brown the cut halves of all sprouts. Saute the sprouts until they all become uniformly golden brown on bottom.
When they are all brown, put entire skillet in the
oven, assuming it has reached 400 degrees. Keep in oven for FOUR minutes. Remove from oven, bring back to stove top on medium to high flame. Sprinkle some WHITE BALSAMIC VINEGAR over top of browned b sprouts. Jiggle pan as vinegar sizzles in mixture. This last step can be done in 20-39 seconds: the pan is HOT, so there will be sizzle and smoke....let pan sit , and then remove very fragrant sprouts with tongs to plate.

Optional: add minced garlic to original mixture,(saute the garlic along with the sprouts.
AND/OR add several slices of pancetta, rolled and julienne-sliced with knife. Cook/ saute along with b sprouts.

You have been a real friend through this horrible mess and as a woman there were not many people to turn too and I don't mean that as a negative to men but people in power over this situation.Geni and I look forward to the spring and the summer at this location, they have many festivals.
