The Global Islamic Media Front, an al-Qaeda mouthpiece, recently distributed an article across several jihadist forums representing the last in the series concerning Rakan bin Williams, a “secret soldier of al-Qaeda ,” and his alleged coming attack. The document is structured to present the author’s views of the phases leading to bin Williams’ operation and the possible aftermath in a new order. The author, Seif Eddin al-Kinani, believes there to be a correlation between a comment from a speech made by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, calling for the implementation of “Usama’s provocation,” and the most recent audio message from Usama bin Laden. From this he argues that the attack has entered its operational phase.
Openly questioning where the intended hit is to strike, the author mocks the FBI and “all who are around them… trembling in fear of these ideas and analyses,” and notes that large borders and open water borders may provide access for Rakan bin Williams. He then mentions bin Williams watching a film about the Brooklyn Bridge, and states: “Williams understands that this bridge is an artery to the economy as the main artery in a human body. If its bleeds, it means death. In Iraq… the thoughts were crossing between yes and no. If the operation fails, then America will be joyful and it will boost the morale of the American soldiers.”
In addition, the document makes reference to Zarqawi and the Mujahideen Shura Council, claiming that Zarqawi decided to stand asides as the Muslim Nation “does not need him any more. He must disappear,” and continues: “The coming days have too many surprises and the nation will be self-leading. It is about time for him to get some rest. He is eager to meet his God after he did whatever he could. What was a dream yesterday in Afghanistan as the American planes bombed women and children is about to become a reality today.” He also equates that the upcoming hit may include Muslim men from Western countries using “nuclear technology available in the hands of the communist enemies of America.”
Concerning the aftermath of the attack, the author believes the American dollar will become greatly devalued and the American military establishment will launch nuclear attacks at Islamic lands, incurring the ire of Europeans who have a financial stake in those lands. He states: “The Crusader hatred towards the European people will surface and the mask of living in peace between Muslims in all the Western countries will be removed. The unbeliever governments will not find any other solution to stop the demonstrations in the streets of the cities and villages to expel the Muslims. It will not find a better solution than what we want.”
In addition, the document makes reference to Zarqawi and the Mujahideen Shura Council, claiming that Zarqawi decided to stand asides as the Muslim Nation “does not need him any more. He must disappear.”
One suspects this guy isn't a history major. If you're going to use thousand-year-old terms, get them right.
Color me signally unimpressed. These guys can't fight but they sure can talk trash.
Perhaps he has packed his bag and moved on. One thing is for sure. Attacks continue to ebb. One can not differentiate with ease what could just be some hold outs that just want to blow themselves up taking innocents along with them, and coordinated insurgency actions. As you indicated two weeks back, if zman has bolted we may not know till long after government posts are finalized through the parlimentary elective process. It will be a bit of irony if he is nabbed in another country by someone wanting to collect the bounty on his head.

OPINION: No.
Basically, bin Williams represents (in my opinion) the various jihadi threats/propaganda found on the 'net.
Disclaimer: My opinion could be wrong or it may be right. Time will tell.
