He did great! He sure held his own; however, Matthews is upset -- and has lots of questions he persoanlly needs answered before this is over for him.

Well, I have a lot of questions that I want Matthews to answer personally before I will watch him again.

Schumer on CNN...adm. didn't come clean. I'm still waiting for Chuck Schumer to come clean about the Democratic dumpster diving campaign by two of his former opposition research staffers, who abused Maryland GOP Lt. Gov. Michael Steele's Social Security number to obtain his private credit report.
He should really clean his own dirty closet before he starts on someone else's!

Having only heard snatches about the Cheney accident, I made time to listen to the Brit Hume interview and appreciated the the Q&A between Brit and Cheney. The White House press considers it a personal affront that they did not get first crack at jumping on the Vice President with accusations and innuendo of something nefarious. IMO, if there had been a TV camera giving instant transmission of the accident as it was in process, the media would be no less hyper and vindictive then they now are. What course of action Dick Cheney should have taken is not important as far as the media reaction is concerned. They would have made it about themselves as usual, while sticking it to Cheney any way they could. I know this has been a really bad personal thing to have happened for both Mr. Whittington and Dick Cheney. Prayers for them both.

I think Dennis Miller should be the Press Secretary.
He can handle those media jerks ... er ... clerks.

Brit Hume, "I was approached by a newscrew from another network and asked why FNC was given the interview; was it because Fox News is a conservative network? I replied maybe it was because the Vice President wanted to appear on the network with the most viewers."I was listening to the Foxnews Channel (TV) on XM and heard this. I nearly wrecked from laughing so hard. It was a great line!!!!

Beautifully said. Our Vice President is in a class above the rest. How
uncommon to hear such forthrightness. A Patriot AND a gentleman.

Marvin Kalb is a dope. He's a Dan Rather sympathizer. I agree. I honestly believe Fox is putting some of these well known lefties on to show the country just how ridiculous, and out of touch with the real America, they are. Let the liberals keep on yammering and we'll gain seats in both houses this November.
God Bless VP Cheney!

Cheney said something about noticing the media was upset, but that they forget
it's not about them. Cheney said it's about his friend Whittington and his family.
He also said it was important that the eyewitness tell the story to the press.
Cheney made it clear the delay was intentional, because first assessments are
usually always wrong. They wanted to release accurate information about Harry
Whittington, after his family was notified.

Dontcha just love how all the Rat shills create frequent openings to use the word, "shooter" and with shrill emphasis? Stalking points, indeed.

I have to give it a try
"Now I don't want to get off on a rant here, this is supposed to be a press conference after all, but I'd like to say that some of you reporters are worse than the scum of the earth... but that would an insult... to the scum of the earth.
Maybe you jackals need to get out of Washington for a while and get real jobs. You shouldn't be reporting on the minimu-wage... you should be making it!
But anyway, stop preening for the camera. Try this instead. Give us facts, not speculation... it's called reporting Sparky. And remember, it's not about you a**hole. Of course, that's just my opinion... I could be wrong."
