I don't agree with David Gregory. He's an asshat, and that's to be expected. A VP should never put himself in a position to harm the President (which is something Cheney has done over and over again) whether by action or demeanor.

Ok, so it happens at say 5:45. It takes half hour to get him to the ER. Another hour or two to have him seen, tests run, specialists called in. (and that may be pushing it, time-wise) It's now 8:15.

Family needs to be called, police spoken to, more activity. More tests, doctors to speak with, reports to be heard. It's now 9:15.

And the media thinks Cheney should have called them at 9-10 at night (or later)?! Hogwash..!

As far as I'm concerned, Shep's coverage of NO Katrina debacle went over the top and a long way toward having the rest of America not care about NOLA. NOLA is his baby but everytime he gets on whining about it makes me care even less.

Interesting. I don't often watch Sheppard.
I can recall when he used to side with Hannity. Apparently, Sheppard has changed (dare I say switched?) sides...lol

I haven't seen any of the interview, but I would assume Cheney did all of that, then he really needed to deal with his own feelings about what happened. To give him the rest of the night after say ten......is not asking too much. The press is like vultures........accidents happen to all of us. I think most Americans understand and see the media as the vultures they are.

Thinking back I cannot remember when a VP ever held one...they may give occasional "availabilities" with the press...but not actual press-conferences.
