Did Weir wear his old Soviet Union jacket? He really like that culture.
Oooh, Johnny Wier dish coming up!
Coments on der Wiermeister:
David loved it "fluid",it all fits in with his personality
Scott "looked calm", didn't doubt performance, costume is not over the top...fits his image=comrotable with his image
Jamie "best spins, flexible,
Mary talked with him:"I'd probably pee if I won a medal"
USA Men's hockey ties Latvia, 3-3.
First game outta the blocks and we tie that hockey powerhouse of ... Latvia. :(
I'm surprised the Canadians gave up to two goals.
To Italy. Yeah they won easily, but how can you give up any goals to a team like Italy?
I kind felt sorry for him, the announcers said that last night was the first time his brother & father had ever watched him skate in International Competition. Hilarious VH1 'Pop Up Video' of Wiers profile. http://www.malcontent.biz/video/johnny-weir-lo.wmv
He, his sunglasses, and his moody stares and poses are quite cheesy. Whatever persona it is he is trying to project, he doesn't quite pull it off, does he?
While watching coverage of the Dick Cheney presser, my local MSM station inadvertently showed me a "spoilish" headline about our local boy, speed skater Chad Hedrick.
Can you tell me, did he not medal at all? Did he finish last? Did he take a fall and hurt himself? Is he out of the Olympics all together? I don't want to read anything else, but the headline here said "Chad Gives up Olympic Hopes."
Did something really bad happen to him?
Please see my post #77 in this thread, and prepare to kissup to tndarlin!
well a couple screens and a couple good slapshots :)
Bad news for the U.S. They'll be extremely lucky to get even a bronze medal in ice hockey this time around.

Simple - Jetlag, only one light practice as a team since basically Summer of '05, and generally not being at match fitness. Still, we banged in 7. Not bad, considering we lost our opening match in SLC '02 5-2 against the Swedes, though we did end up with Gold.
