Clinton decries ‘pattern’ of secrecy

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton thinks White House delays in disclosing Dick Cheney's shotgun mishap are evidence of a vast West Wing conspiracy to stonewall journalists and voters. Clinton told reporters Tuesday that the nearly 24-hour lag proved the White House has a "disturbing" tendency to "withhold information" no matter what the issue. "I don't think that one incident alone tells a story, but put it all together, going back years, there's a pattern and it's a pattern that should be troubling," Clinton said during a Capitol Hill news conference criticizing the administration's handling of Hurricane Katrina. "I don't care if you're a conservative, a liberal, a Democrat, a Republican, an Independent -- the refusal of this administration to level with the American people in matters large and small is very disturbing because it goes counter to the way our constitutional democracy ... is supposed to work," she added. Republican National Committee spokesman Danny Diaz, responded later, "It seems that there's no issue above politics for New York's junior senator." After the news conference, Clinton stopped by the Senate Armed Services Committee to grill Army brass about body armor supplies and to listen to Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) ask questions about Humvee safety. During the session, both shared a public chuckle at Cheney's expense. When one general used the expression "shooting ourselves in the gut," Kennedy interrupted to say, "I'm not sure that's a good analogy today." Clinton threw back her head and laughed so heartily it echoed through the cavernous committee room.

I guess it's different when the press works overtime to cover up anything one administration does. The difference is, the press works overtime trying to make anything a scandal for this administration

What I love is that, even my Democrat friends think that the press is going way over the top on this one. USA Today has had this thing front page ever since it broke. The entire MSM is turning into a crew of immature ninnies. They are going to end up COMPLETELY irrelevant at the rate they're going.

What about her husband losing the nuclear code that protects our nation. It was never reported by the MSM and Clinton would not stop playing golf to look for it. What about Bill refusing to come of the golf course to get Bin-Laden? The MSM never reported any of this and it was much more serious than Cheney. I also have never heard a report on how many people have died from the aids tainted blood the Clintons sold to Canada while they were the first couple in Arkansas. These are and were real serious problems that the MSM even helped to cover up and they have the audacity to question Cheney.
The Democrats on Capitol Hill are so afraid of the truth they lie continuously to hide their short comings and the danger in this is that the MSM is complicent .

Did Ms Klinton say anything about the "disturbing" tendency to "withhold information" about a certain car that contained the body of a girl named Mary Jo??????? These people have no conscience..............
