I think it is in Cheney's best interest to send some of his own protective detail to a certain hospital ASAP.
To: clawrence3
If he dies in 2022, it will still be Cheney's fault.
Just watch.

And if it's the typical investigation, (counting on whose county it is) the grand jury will say that it was an accidental situation and that Cheney will not be charged.
Deaths are often investigated by a grand jury when people shoot other people in Texas, as in home invasions, and self defense situations and other things. Doesn't mean they're out to prosecute.
But again, it will count on who's prosecuting.
And of course, the NYT might be in wishful thinking mode, too...

It was on a "joke" site. A thread saying the same was just pulled.

Especially if the police already ruled it an accident.
To: clawrence3
I guess they think that the guy he shot was the one who leaked the goods on Valerie Plame. Actually, there were two gunmen, Karl Rove was hiding in the woods (he was also hiding in the grassy knoll in '63).

You said it. I was thinking what you said earlier -- one of the first things to pop into my head. I didn't think pillow, but same idea.

And every single person on the NYT staff from Pinch on down is hoping that the poor guy snuffs it. Freakin' ghouls.

And .. the blood thirsty media is salivating over the prospects of finally getting Cheney.
However, if that should happen .. and I don't think it will .. what about the person Bush might APPOINT to be the VP ..??
Just think about it for a minute .. what if Bush appoints George Allen. Allen then becomes an INCUMBENT VP and much more likely to take the top spot in 2008. I think the dems better be careful about what they wish for.
So far .. the dems wishes haven't turned out in their favor.

Yes, it was Kenedy County - the Armstrong Ranch, just south of the King Ranch (and a part of it at one time).

In Texas, Carlos Valdez, the district attorney in Kleberg County, said a fatality would immediately spur a new report from the local sheriff and, most likely, a grand jury investigationCarlos must be a Democrat. No sane DA would present such a weak case to a Grand Jury.
Unless, of course, it could do some political damage.

MSM praying the man will die. Trust me, they are really hoping he'll die because they think his death will deliver them a "gotcha" against Cheney.
What a$$holes.
