A Day in the Life of President Bush - (photos) - 2.14.06

Today President Bush welcomed the 2005 NCAA National Champion University of Texas Longhorns football team to the South Lawn at the White House, where he congratulated the team and coaches with great humor and warmth.........and a lot of Texas pride! Later in the day, he welcomed members of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in the Oval Office of the White House. The council, created by the USA Freedom Corps in 2003, promotes volunteerism and recognizes Americans who serve our communities and the world.

First Lady, Laura Bush visited the Giant Pandas at the National Zoo.

Today the news was released that Mr. Harry Whittington, who was accidentally hit with birdshot in a hunting accident with Vice President Cheney, had had a very mild, asymptomatic heart attack. He is being carefully watched and being treated conservatively, and is expected to fully recover. We need to keep Mr Whittington and Vice President Cheney in our prayers. The media are in a feeding frenzy, and are completely out of control.

Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island............ some wonderful photos today on the Daily Dose!! And a Happy Valentines Day to you all!!

GREAT response to your prof! Except . . . they should have called DAVID GREGORY first, the NYT second, THEN the ambulance! Jerks. At least, thanks to VP Cheney, there was outstanding medical care just seconds away. :-)

I think they are using it to keep Al Gore off the front pages, and the treasonous things he said while in Saudi Arabia (I think that was where he gave his "speech.)

Yeah, really. Why should the VP assume that he can go around talking about someone else's health? I wouldn't want someone to do that to me.

Don't even get me started on David Gregory. I'm just glad Scott smacked him down yesterday. He deserved that. Now, if we could just get him to physically smack Gregory...

LOL....I love your idea.....follow the press around and report their EVERY "burp, hiccup, hangnail, etc..." I.E. Ahem....in news today, David Gregory had a bowel movement at 7am.....sorry, I know that's awful, but that's what someone needs to do....and reporting EVERYTHING they eat, where they buy items for their family, etc...

We're doing well, thanks. Sold the house, sold the possessions. Hanging around in warm climes for the winter.

It's cut into my available time on the Dose, but guess we can't have everything in life :^)

***Wait, kitkat, did I mess up my K's? Is it your birthday today?***

Good heavens, I HOPE not! If it is, I forgot to send myself a card. Lets's see......think, think, NAW, we're both safe, it's not until September. Thanks anyway.

***Also, what about PATIENT PRIVACY....these days doctors CANNOT release ANYTHING without the patient's permission.....maybe his friend would NOT give permission.***

You're right! Even the police won't release such information until the patient's family is notified.

Hmmmm?? I'm wondering if Gregory is in a foul mood because of the Able Danger hearings starting tomorrow .. Jamie Gorelick could be in real trouble when all the truth of Able Danger comes out.

I was just going to say that .. they are actually salivating at the prospect of putting Cheney in jail for murder. They're so pathetic!

Thanks for including all the president's comments. For some reason, this didn't make MSM news tonight.

Happy St. Valentine's Day to you, Jonny!

I'm watching the Westminster Best in Show (dog competition) so guess where I got my inspiration? All those dog lovers who pour their hearts into making their friends happy and successful.

Wouldn't you just love to make Gregory cry? I bet it wouldn't take much; he seems like a wuss under all that blather.

RE: The press, yes, and then ask them questions about EVERYTHING they do. "Why didn't you shop at the grocery store closer to your home? Are you racist? Sexist? Do you own stock in the other grocery store? Are you not concerned about the gas your SUV is burning? Are you AFRAID for the press to see what you're buying?" Wouldn't it be a treat to give them a piece of what they're dishing out?
