Today President Bush welcomed the 2005 NCAA National Champion University of Texas Longhorns football team to the South Lawn at the White House, where he congratulated the team and coaches with great humor and warmth.........and a lot of Texas pride! Later in the day, he welcomed members of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in the Oval Office of the White House. The council, created by the USA Freedom Corps in 2003, promotes volunteerism and recognizes Americans who serve our communities and the world.
First Lady, Laura Bush visited the Giant Pandas at the National Zoo.
Today the news was released that Mr. Harry Whittington, who was accidentally hit with birdshot in a hunting accident with Vice President Cheney, had had a very mild, asymptomatic heart attack. He is being carefully watched and being treated conservatively, and is expected to fully recover. We need to keep Mr Whittington and Vice President Cheney in our prayers. The media are in a feeding frenzy, and are completely out of control.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island............ some wonderful photos today on the Daily Dose!! And a Happy Valentines Day to you all!!
I wish it was all over.
Well, I'm off. I need to go bake a cake for tomorrow.
I cooked all day today, and now I still have a cake to bake. I need to get on it before it gets late.
See you all tomorrow.
Remember that the next time you lock me in the basement!
And thank you for the bear--I saved it :)
***For some reason, the media seems to think the Vice President is supposed to run out and hold a press conference every time something happens in his life. *rolling my eyes* They're so obnoxious.***
Yep, they're acting as though a hunting accident is a matter of national defense.
Your line to your teacher was PERR-FECT!!!
I wish it was all over as well, good night see you tomorrow.
Thanks! I can't BELIEVE the amount of time they're wasting on this story. They're all whining that the VP didn't call them! I wouldn't have called them either. They're stupid losers and aren't entitled to know everything that's going on in the VP's life.
***Whoops it looked more yellow than orange to me***
Minor matter, huh? Probably our screens are tuned to different depths of color (or, colour) LOL!
RE: DAvid Gregory . . . I think Scott McClellan should get his private home number and private cell phone number, and begin calling him when the Pres. or VP or their wives burp, hiccup, have a hangnail, bite their tongue, or crack their knuckles. EVERY SINGLE TIME, DAY OR NIGHT. He deserves to be tormented. And then some reporter should start following him around, speculating on each stumble, stutter, blink, everything he eats, etc., etc., etc. His behavior made me sick.
On the lighter side, you KNOW the VP feels very bad about what happened . . . but is also laughing at the countless jokes about it. How much do you want to bet the Pres. will have everyone wear blaze orange to the next big meeting?
Sorry to post and run, but . . . HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, EVERYONE!
The MSM never let's facts get in the way of a "good" story. Anything that makes Cheney--or Bush, or any conservative--look bad is a good story.
But I think most people see this for what it was--an accident. This will fade away in a few days.
Hi homemom, loooong time no post with. :^)
Hope you are doing very well and had a Happy Valentines day.
