Wal-Mart must stock contraception in Mass

BOSTON (AP) - The state board that oversees pharmacies voted Tuesday to require Wal-Mart to stock emergency contraception pills at its Massachusetts pharmacies, a spokeswoman at the Department of Public Health said.

The unanimous decision by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy comes two weeks after three women sued Wal-Mart in state court for failing to carry the so called "morning after" pill in its Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores in the state.

The women argue state policy requires pharmacies to provide all "commonly prescribed medicines."

The board has sent a letter to Wal-Mart lawyers informing them of the decision, said health department spokeswoman Donna Rheaume. Wal-Mart has until Thursday to provide written compliance.

Dan Fogleman, a spokesman for Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart, said the company hadn't heard about the decision, but would comply with any order.

If they're like how you describe, I'd call them libertines, not libertarians. Maybe hedonists. Maybe "libertines who like their money and don't want to part with it". Lots of people like money. Even liberals. Liberals don't generally give to charities. They waqnt to "help" people with your money. I wouldn't call them live-and-let-live libertarians if they want to use the force of government to make other people live how they want them to. Maybe they don't know what they really are and are self-mis-identifying.

Like I said, Bill Maher calls himself a libertarian because he doesn't think marijauna should be illegal and the Libertarian party is againsthe War on Drugs. There's an Ann Coulter column somewhere that mentions him and says he's not a libertarian, he's just a liberal. Seems like the people you've run into.

I didn't force people to have promiscuous sex. Did you?

Who said anything about promiscuous sex? Do you want more abortions or do you want fewer abortions? This is a very simple calculus.

I have perfectly good reason to name libertarians in what I
wrote. Now the truth comes out, Mr. libertarian. You are
harassing me because you are a libertarian.

Prove it. Carla Howell did lead the gay parade in Boston. One of the official dignitaries. Ask her. You are the one making stuff up to cover for the libertarian wackos. I sat on the phone with her for hours trying to talk her out of taking a stand on gay special rights when Weld first started promoting gay sex culbs in the high school. I asked her to think about respecting our differences. She would not stop herself. She is the gay special rights libertarian. Pro marriage. Pro forced gay sex indoctrination to other people's children in secret sex clubs. That is your party...

Libertarians have been on the gay special rights wing in Mass big time and all out. You are trying to deny the truth here to make libertarians look better than they are in Masshole. They are social marxists.

I'm sorry, I think that I misunderstood or misread you.

I thought that you said that Mitt Romney was leading gay pride parades.

Really that is what I thought that you said. My error.

They are social marxists. But they are the libertarian party in Masshole.

That is alright. It was Howell, the head of Hemingway ghost's party who led the gay parade and is for gay special rights; aka social Marxist.

Ultimately, the liberals wish to force all hospitals to provide abortion services. Forcing Wal-Mart to provide the "morning after pill" is a first step in mandating abortion training at all medical schools. So much for freedom of choice.

With this ruling, I demand that McDonald's provide taco value meals and Subway offer pasta meals.

This would be like demanding that the Muslim-owned corner store near you stock beer, or ... sell bacon.

Wouldn't that get lots of knickers in knots? Probably cause riots and they'd burn down the state house andall the WalMart stores in the state. But of course they'd leave all the liquor stores untouched, because those make money for the Kennedy Klan.

Always a gay time in Mitt Romneyland.

Well, why do gays care about a Morning After pill? They have other things to worry about, but not emergency chemical abortions. :)

It is needed for the situations where the sex is forced.

OK, but then those are the only situations it can be prescribed for. If the state can tell the pharmacies what they have to sell, they can tell the doctors for what they can't write prescriptons.

Since the drugs can be pretty nasty in the side effect department, and since real victims of rape and incest shouldn't be having to advertise their status by picking up Rx's that can only be used in those cases, just require all doctors to have them on hand, and then allow the pharmacies to only sell to doctor's offices. That way the victim can take the pill in the doctor's office and hang around for any really bad side effects that might occur.

**I don't involve myself formally in Massachusetts politics anymore.**

In other words you are saying, "I am going to call you all wrong because I am not involved in politics and don't know what I am talking about..."

Thanks for telling the truth - FINALLY. How about you just sit in your arm chair and quit bothering me.

Strictly speaking, that's not really true. While the precise mechanism is a matter of some debate, the available evidence indicates that all hormonal contraceptives, including emergency contraception, work by preventing ovulation, not fertilization or implantation. If all you're doing is preventing ovulation, you're certainly not causing an abortion, not by anyone's definition.

I don't think so, because it the emergency contraceptives worked that way, they would not be very effective. The woman could have ovulated many hours (even a few days) before the sex, and she could still get pregnant. In fact if she ovulates very much after the sex, she will not get pregnant. The sperm don't live all that long, and it takes time for the egg to migrate into the fallopian tubes where they are usually fertilized.

Now it could be that the hormone pills prevent fertilization somehow, but that seems unlikely.

The man hating part of femenism is lesbian. They care about abortions because they don't want teens getting pregnant and narrowing the field early. They want to kill the baby if a teen girl crosses them to the dark side of normalacy.

Not in the blue states. There, libertarians are liberals who no longer beleive in socialism's central planning. But they love imposing the religion of social liberalism on the public. No liberty there. : )

Get your facts straight instead of using a strawman to make excuses for your socialist state, lady.
