it would be awfully tempting to stereotype you as a dumb redneck who isn't capable of reading a long sentence and understanding it.
But I won't do that. I'll just assure you that while I do eat lots of salad, it is not a matter of being opposed to meat on cultural or ethical grounds. It's because I am at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Also, it makes me feel healthier than my old, red-state diet did.
Other than that and a couple of other things, I'm basically a Middle American, more comfortable with most FReepers than with most "blue" Rats.
There are many, many people like me in California. Your hatred of California reminds me of the anti-Americanism abroad. While there is some basis for it, it is still basically irrational, and the haters should look in the mirror and ask themselves what it's really about.
