I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.
Take a breath yourself. I don't listen to their crap. The stupid public does.
And no, Mr. Whittington is not "fine." He may be later, but we don't know that yet. All we know right now is that it could have been worse.
Delightful! She's absolutely in love with her grand ones!
If we couldn't discuss hypotheticals, there wouldn't be much to discuss. Think about it.
LOL --- now John G is discussing the ACCIDENTAL shooting with Carl? Cameron.
You're right that the people don't think very highly of the media.
But that is largely beside the point. The media still heavily shape what most people think about politics, and about major public figures.
You are lucky!!! I've only started about 3 or 4 threads, got almost no responses, and what I got intimidated the shivinlit outta me. Cured me of starting threads for sure.
Awww , ;)(How's baby and BigBro? and Grammie holding up oK??)
Cathy VandenHeuvel MD -- any relation to Katrina???
I thought Brit was being overly kind to him AND his opinions, probably because Novak is a trophy, for the time being, but that will wear off.
ROTFLMAO!
She's the gift who keeps on giving!
Cameron is such a democrat.
It would be nice if you were right.
But as I often do on FReep, I'm trying to warn against complacency. You are assuming that the public will be smart and fair-minded enough to see this simply as an accident with no fault attached, as they should. But what people should logically think and what they do think can be quite different. Right now, I'm sure the public isn't particularly upset. But what if, God forbid, the man dies? The media will really get to work, and we know that a real feeding frenzy can move public opinion to a frightening degree.
And this is helpful, instructive, enhancing....how?
How about we stick with facts, OK?
Ping to #1060 ;)
Is he really? I know he HATED being assigned to cover Kerry. Absolutely HATED it.
Didn't that have something to do with him saying the 'wrong' thing and almost getting thrown off the bus?
Onyx said my cat is spoiled because he's got his own quilt that he took a liking to once he got acclimated into my home over a year ago.
That's right, Carolyn. Well said.
I would add only that "preempting the MSM" and outflanking them isn't really "defensive," because when done skillfully, it's not a matter of making the President look less-bad, but of making him look good. But that's a minor point.
Told you she came from money.
:^)
Good sleuthin'..
We have two afghan's a friend crocheted for our dogs and we carry them on vacation with us so they can snuggy up... can you say we spoil our pets?
