I suppose I saw something else in this whole affair. It made it clear to me that the clash of civilizations is not the doing of the West but the preference of Islamism. The Islamic world will always find some reason to hate and want to destroy the West.

Many Muslims despise the west and want to destroy it, on that we can agree, though I thought 9/11 and it's aftermath made that perfectly clear.
