I am a woman and I don't see why the cards are important either.
We are both allergic so I don't get flowers.
However, Mr.FF always brings a huge heart of chocolate. I'm not a chocolate fiend so we share it.
Everyone is happy in my house.

(Sorry Mr. Franklin, but apparently we couldn't keep it.)

We didn't buy each other Valentines this year. I was cleaning out the china cabinet and I found a bunch of old ones my husband had sent me....about thrity dollars worth! SO...I told him to not buy me a card, I would just read the old ones. LOL!
Mr. Marple will be happy if I make him a nice dinner tonight, and I told him he can buy me flowers on Friday, when they will be cheaper and I can enjoy them all weekend.
I have never cared for Valentine's Day, myself. I always thought it was just a made-up holiday so we could have parties at school in between Christmas and the end of the year.

Everyone is happy in my house THAT IS ALL THAT COUNTS! I have a strong suspicion that women who complain about things like cards, probably are not shown adoration and appreciation on a daily basis... which also points out that men in the doghouse over a card- are most likely not loving and attentive husbands..... the card simply is a symptom of a BIGGER issue! LOL!
