Sheesh. Guilt by insinuation.

When does the "Cheney crack pipe" discovery flow from the pen of Nedra Pickler?

Generally speaking, the guy who does the shooting is responsible for shooting someone. The discussion re whether or not the shooting was justified starts there. In this case, hard to see any justification.

I wonder how far away from Cheney the guy who got shot was.

I read an article that the SS notified the police within the hour. The lady who owns the ranch said that in the first few hours, they were only thinking of how Mr. Whittington was doing. It didn't even occur to them to 'notify the press'. Cheney's office thought it only right to let HER announce it to the press because it took place on her property.

Did you happen to hear D. Letterman saying Cheney was hit with buckshot? Than the fool went on to say he never fired a weapon and never has been hunting.

Considering that the WV miners survivors story was so batched in the rush to get it out quickly, that so many of the Hurricane Katrina Superbowl stories were concocted, the early calling of elections, etc. happen I want to know what the heck is wrong with waiting! Exactly. It's not like this White House hasn't been burned before.

I was just saying that the whole situation is just plain stupid. We have an accident being overblown by the libs. But, I also know that regardless of how busy VP is and relying on his staff does not give him the free pass. When I was working on an Admiral's staff at my last job, we did do all the "purchases and things like that", but if we had done something wrong, the Admiral was responsible not the staff. Anyway, the VP made an error and hopefully after today the story will die out. Happy Valentine's Day to you and all FREEPERS!!!!!

The White House blamed the 78-year-old man whom Vice President Dick Cheney shot during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas for the incident The white House is full of uninformed idiots that seem to have forgotten a lesson in gun safety.
The shooter is ALWAYS responsible for where the round impacts.

Always be sure of your target and what lies beyond it. Next to impossible to do when hunting Quail. What with the suddenness of a covey of Quail shooting up from the bushes, often a shot is missed entirely.
While I won't lay all of the responsibility at Whittington or Cheney, I do see a lot of shared responsibility here. In the end, it's no where near the scandalous story they are making it out to be.
Just another slow news weekend where importance is fabricated trying to sell more papers.

When are we gonna hear that it was Bush's fault?

The white House is full of uninformed idiots that seem to have forgotten a lesson in gun safety. It's obvious you didn't see the press conference. No where during that press conference did the White House blame the 78-year old Whittingdon. What the media is doing is irresponsible, and by that I mean, they're twisting the facts.
