Should the White House have announced the accidental shooting by Vice President Cheney as soon as it knew?
*Yes, by not doing so it only turned the spotlight on itself.
*No, it was appropriate that the ranch owner be the one reporting the incident.

"Should the White House have announced the accidental shooting by Vice President Cheney prior to providing medical attention to the victim?"
Isn't the job of the media to investigate a story and then report? Why does the WH have to spoon feed the media stories?
Yes.
How long did it take the media to learn that Bill Clinton fell and hurt himself at Greg Norman's house?
I think they should investigate as to whether Cheney really tried to shoot him, thus grounds for impeachment.
There must be something wrong with the link. I can't find the button to click for "Who gives a rat's a*s about this ridiculously miniscule non-point?"
Earth to the MSM --- Bill Clinton has been accused of raping a woman! Isn't that more important than a hunting accident?

By giving the ranch owner the control over the press, it allowed him time to get the coffee and donuts ready. The ranch owner knew that as soon as the press was informed about the accident that they would be there in mass. At least some coffee and donuts would make everybody feel better after they realized that they had just gone on a wild goose chase to report a simple accident.
