Yeah, the Limeys were really pissed about how they were portrayed, and tried to drag Marion's name through the mud.

What an a-s kicking Francis Marion gave to the thug General Tarlton. Of course, the Brits made it so easy with those bright red uniforms!

Huh! I thought "The Patriot" was purely fictional. Shoulda known better knowing Mel Gibson is big on true historical dramas (with his little bit of humor thrown in, of course.)
