My dad and I were shot at years ago while chukar hunting. High brush, the shooter was uphill from us, etc. We ducked behind some rocks until the danger was past, then dad found the hunter later and chewed him out.
Then there was the time I almost shot the antenna off my dad's buddy's truck...

Then there was the time my brother shot himself in the temple with his bb gun - 16 years old, shoulda known better after being trained by our dad and after I warned him not to point his gun. Lucky. The bb lodged just under the skin, had to go the emergency room to have it extracted. He's never lived it down.

Well, there was the time when my brother shot what he thought was a varmint after his baby turkeys. A few days later, my sil asked him what happened to her little rabbit she had in her flowers. Yet, he shot the rabbit!

Anyone who has spent any time hunting knows that there is always a danger of being hit, esp. quail hunting. That is why rule #1 in small bird shooting of this type is to stay at least thirty yards away from the nearest hunter so that the shot-spread will only give you a good sting.
